Nikki van den Heever, a caucus precinct captain for former South Bend Mayor Pete Buttigieg, tried to talk down an Iowa woman who was incensed to find out in real-time during a caucus after shed signed a card supporting him that the candidate is openly gay.
Are you saying that he has the same-sex partner? Pete? the woman says in the clip, which was posted to both Twitter and Reddit early Tuesday morning.
Yes, van den Heever responds.
Are you kidding? the woman says, and upon being told Mayor Pete is married, says Then I dont want anybody like that in the White House. So can I have my card back?
I dont know, you signed it. We could go ask, van den Heever says, then tells the woman, The whole point of it is, though, hes a human being, right? Just like you and me and it shouldnt really matter
Well he better read the Bible, the woman who is wearing buttons in support of Minnesota Senator Amy Klobuchar says.
He does, and he says that God doesnt choose a political party because van den Heever says, as the woman interrupts to ask, Why does it say in the Bible that a man should marry a woman then?
Well I totally respect your viewpoint on this, I so totally do, but I think that we were not around when the Bible was written, van den Heever replies.
How come this is never been brought out before? the woman asks.
The precinct captain tries to convince the woman that were all human beings and says shell check on the status of her signed card.
Mayor Pete and his husband Chasten Buttigieg were on the cover of Time magazine in May.

When I see his picture I cant help but look for the bumps on forehead from hitting the headboard.
Now you’ve just gone and made it even more weird.
The “moderate” Dems are the ones who still have jobs, therefore don’t have time to be SJWs & practitioners of identity politics, therefore are clueless as to how far left the Democrat Party has gone.
These moderates still insist theirs is the party of the white working class. LOL.
“But, but, but he looked so dreamy.”
Everytime I look at Buttigig, that song Werewolves of London starts playing in my head.
Especially the line, “I saw a werewolf drinkin’ a pina colada at Trader Vic’s / his hair was perfect.”
So IOW voters who don’t speak English & have NO CLUE what the candidates are saying about their foreign or domestic policies. No clue about their economics, beyond “get ya free stuff here.”
“I was talking to a black coworker a few months ago, and he was ranting about how corrupt the city government is, and the police, and blaming it on Republicans. He just locked up like hed gone into a coma when I pointed out that the city he lives in hasnt had a non-Democrat as mayor or in any elected city office, or on the city council, in over 50 years.”
This is appallingly common among voters — and non-voters— black and white.
They engage in coprophilia, too.
I think a lot of his supporters don’t know. When they so find out, when his “husband” starts going around on the campaign trail and they openly hug and kiss, his campaign will evaporate.
He told the world.
Actually, no.
A passing fad.
The reference to his being black wasnt gratuitous. Part of the conversation was about black folk being ill-treated by the city and police department.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Don’t worry deary, if he’s the nominee (won’t be) we’ll make sure EVERYONE knows.
Would do wonders for Black turnout.
Are these idiots living under a rock? Unbelievable!
HOW misinformed do you have to be not to know by now that he is a fag? PROBABLY about as misinformed as the typical dim-0.
“Mayor Pete and his husband Chasten Buttigieg were on the cover of Time magazine in May.”
Now i see why she didn’t know...hardly anyone reads Time magazine.
I was surprised to learn that a lot of people do not know he’s gay. I got into a discussion with some women from my rather conservative church, and 2 out of 4 did not know this! These seem to be relatively informed people, as they seemed to follow a discussion of the issues fine. I just think they’re tuning out the democrat field till the herd thins.
Blown and injected.
With flames.
My response wasn’t intended to be critical, though I can now see how it sounded that way. I merely meant to agree with what you were saying, and add to it.
My apologies.
