President Donald Trump was chastised Monday after video footage showed him goofing off as the national anthem played during a Super Bowl party at his West Palm Beach golf resort.
As everyone else around Trump (including his wife and youngest son) stood solemnly with their hands over their hearts, Trump fidgeted, waved his hands, pointed at people and pretended to conduct the music.
The video of the president cutting up during the anthem, first reported by the Miami Herald, was part of an Instagram story posted by a real estate agent at the party, which was held for a select group of the president’s supporters. The event cost American taxpayers $3.4 million, according to an analysis by HuffPost.
Trump has said that athletes who take a knee at NFL games to protest racism and police brutality — a movement launched by former San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick — should be fired because they’re disrespecting America and the military.
“You have to stand proudly for the national anthem or you shouldn’t be playing — you shouldn’t be there,” Trump told “Fox & Friends” in 2018, adding, “Maybe you shouldn’t be in the country.”
When a football player takes a knee, the team owner should “get that son of a bitch off the field,” Trump told a rally in 2017.
Fox Nation host Tomi Lahren slammed celebrities Beyoncé and Jay-Z on Sunday for sitting during the anthem. She hasn’t yet remarked on the president’s antics.

We do not choose to view President Trump through this distorted Leftist lens, in which they endlessly sift through video frames and tweets, picking and choosing, selectively highlighting anything they can possibly take out of context to smear him.

I remember growing up on a military base and at 5 PM every day we would stand at attention and our hand over our hearts. The movie theatre started every movie with the national anthem.
Her usually very high high heels may have been part of it.

I have been watching sports since the early 1950’s. I have attended uncountable numbers of sporting events where our National Anthem was played. I always have stood silently and respectfully at these attended events.
However I have seen literally THOUSANDS of sporting events from my or someone else’s home or a bar. Never at a single one of the events I viewed on TV did I or anyone else with me stand at attention or even stop talking during the Anthem. I have never heard of doing this, not ever.
bammy hated the country, violated the Constitution, gave aid and support to our enemies, but stood looking respectful during the anthem. It’s what’s inside that counts.

Not everyone is you and me. And it's not directed to you or I. It's meant for those who may already have concerns about Trump. And the media will make the most of it. Trump doesn't need to be giving them ammunition.
