Trump hits highest Gallup approval rating of his presidency
The Hill ^ | 02 04 2020 | Brett Samuels

President Trump's approval rating hit 49 percent in a new Gallup poll released Tuesday, his highest mark in that poll since he took office.

The poll, released on the eve of a likely Senate vote to acquit him on impeachment charges and at the outset of an election year, found 50 percent of those surveyed disapprove of Trump's job performance. Just 1 percent of respondents said they had no opinion.

Trump's previous high approval rating in the Gallup poll was 46 percent, a number he reached in May after former special counsel Robert Mueller's investigation did not charge him with obstruction of justice or establish he conspired with Russia.

The boost in Tuesday's poll is largely attributable to a surge in support for Trump from Republicans and independents. The poll found 94 percent of Republicans approve of Trump's performance, up from 88 percent in early January.

They should impeach him again. Maybe he can get it up to 70.

I wonder what his approval will be after the Iowa fiasco and tonight’s SOTU?

I do YouGov polls. Just did one a few minutes ago. Lately they’ve been asking a lot of questions about Trump’s latest tweets, and I always say GREAT when asked to rate them. Hoping to sway those polls a tiny bit.

“thank you, AOC. I wouldn’t open any packages from nancy pelosi anytime soon.”

That is SO TRUE (and funny). The Democrat strategy since at least Bill Clinton, has been to lull the country into a false sense that Democrat candidates are basically ‘moderate’ and won’t take drastic steps to ‘transform’ the country. Then we elect a Democrat and have a HUGE case of buyer’s remorse, wiping out the Dems in Congress and lower level offices 2 years later (at least with Clinton and Obama). Sadly, though, the GOP then runs a throw-away candidate, and hands that Democrat a re-election victory.

Then we get a Republican and the Democrats reset and simulate acting like normal people just long enough to win the next round.

They ‘hoped’ to repeat that plan - but between their brainwashed base (and guess who brainwashed them...they did!) and The Squad - they can’t do it.

So I stand by what I wrote about 2 years ago - a Democrat win in 2018 was the BEST thing that could happen for both Trump and the Republicans, at least for 2020. Everyone is now seeing just who they are...even Conservatives, many of whom considered us to be kooks when we tried to tell them who the Democrats really are and what they REALLY stand for.

49

Should we add 10, 15, or 20 to get the correct number?

Between Hillary, Nancy, and Ruth Buzzy G. I think they have 10-12 years between them.

I agree, maybe more. What’s wrong with people? Also, the fact that Bernie and Warren have any supporters at all is truly frightening.

Oh, looky, it's the semi-monthly reminder that President Trump only has 49% support in the country. Gotta love those partisan shills in the fake polling industry.

94 percent of Republicans approve of Trump's performance

Combine that with Trump's approval among blacks and Hispanics, and it becomes eminently obvious that President Donald John Trump is at the peak of his power.

If we don't retake the House, the Dims have promised to impeach him again.
