Trump expanding base of black, Hispanic, suburban voters, has 51% approval

The improving economy and voter anger with the partisan impeachment process have helped to boost President Trump’s support among blacks, Hispanics, independents, and suburban women, according to a new survey.

The latest Zogby Analytics poll, shared exclusively with Secrets, also showed that the president’s job approval rating continues to edge up despite his impeachment and the ongoing Senate trial.

“The president continues to receive a high approval rating near or slightly above 50% for the third straight poll. He has rebounded with Independents, women, suburban voters and suburban women,” said pollster Jonathan Zogby in his analysis.

Trump now has a 51% approval rating in the Zogby Analytics survey, the same level former Presidents Barack Obama and George W. Bush had with they won reelection.

Zogby’s survey included an oversampling of Hispanic and black voters to get a good gauge of their support for the president, especially in head-to-head matchups with Democrats.

What he found was a resurgence of support among independents, suburbanites, suburban women, and an expansion beyond his 2016 support among black and Hispanic voters.

Could have just asked me. Oh well...

LOL. There are a lot of minority folks who are very pleased to say they support Trump, and give four or five reasons why.

It’s an amazing time we live in.

Trump will be re-elected.

Democrats know this because if they thought he could be beaten, they would never have impeached him in the first place.

Can’t wait til November to send them a message.

Zogby’s survey included an oversampling of Hispanic and black voters..

It’s likely somewhere between 55 and 60 percent

Trump is still ahead even with Democrat oversampling? Only question left is no longer whether he’ll win but by how much the Democrats will lose.

Yeah I thought that little part was really revealing.

There’s 10 months to go and I guess anything could happen.

But it likely won’t.

Boy I hope we win the house back and with REAL conservatives.

This could among the best four years the country has ever seen.

Okay, but isn’t that a sound thing to do?

It is after all trying to gauge how Trump is seen in that community?

Did I misunderstand the parameters?

I've noticed a marked decline in vocal TDS among the underclass black folks I deal with.

Maybe they should impeach him another time and hope for a different result.

People vote their pocketbooks. Unless there’s a recession around the corner, I expect Trump to win.

Hoover, Carter and Bush pere all lost their re-election bids because the economy soured on them.

Not to put a downer on everyone’s orgasms here, but it is wise to consider that the voters have very sort memories, they live only in the present and have a non existent understanding of cause and effect.

At some point, possibly soon, there will be a recession. That is a given. Recessions are blamed on the current office holder, not the previous officer holders or the policies that contributed to the recession.

If we go into a recession before the election, keeping in mind that the press and the libs are going to do all they can to depress the economy, those approval numbers are going to evaporate. That’s a fact of life.

Not a problem Professor! I rigged the polls so we only poll Democrats to show our favor, but I don't get it,....the numbers, the numbers, just keep coming back in favor of Trump.

No one can guarantee what’s going to happen in the next eight months.

Its an eternity from the snows of February to the lengthening shadows of November.

If the economy crashes, Trump’s good as gone.

“There’s 10 months to go and I guess anything could happen.
But it likely won’t.”

Agree. Even if something does happen there is an unstoppable wave of growing approval for this President.

Ironically, the reason for it is that the Democrats and #neverTrumpers set expectations SO low.

All President Trump has had to do is not be a monster, no mass genocide, no WWIII, no climate change apocalypse, no naked Trump, no police state stormtroopers.

And far from being the monster the Democrats warned about, he has actually been a great president according to many objectively measurable metrics, not the least of which is “the economy, stupid”.

No, I think we are seeing what happens when the fake news and DNC drastically overplays their hand and gets proven dead wrong, over, and over, and over again.

Regarding Bush 41, the economy was a fabrication of the Clinton Campaign, aided and abetted by the media (or vice versa). All you heard in '92 was, "the worst economy since Herbert Hoover".

After a mild downturn/recession in '90 and '91, the economy turned the corner and was already putting up some decent growth numbers by '92. Annual GDP growth that year was around 3.5%. (Which was higher than in ANY of the 8 years of Obama.)
