London Stabbing Prompts Questions on Policies for Terrorism Convictions. The mayor said he was “angry” about the government’s handling of the situation, after the second attack in three months by men convicted of terrorism-related offenses.

LONDON — The mayor of London accused the government on Monday of failing to give judges the tools they need to keep people who pose terrorist threats in prison, a day after a man who had recently been released went on a stabbing rampage in South London.

The attacker, who wounded three people on Sunday before being shot and killed by the police, was identified by the police as Sudesh Amman, a 20-year-old from London who was jailed in 2018 for terrorism-related offenses. He was sentenced to more than three years in prison, but his early release came automatically, in line with government policy.

The mayor, Sadiq Khan, said he was “angry” about the government’s handling of the situation, noting that London has experienced two attacks in the past three months that were carried out by men convicted of terrorism-related offenses who had been recently released.

On Monday, the Islamic State claimed responsibility for the attack via its media branch on a messaging app, saying the attacker was one of its “fighters,” according to the SITE Intelligence Group, which tracks hate groups online. It is unclear what involvement, if any, the group had in the attack.

London has been the site of several deadly terrorist attacks in the past few years, and each one has renewed questions about whether Britain’s approach to the threat is sufficient.

“There’s lots of questions I’ve got for the government in relation to what they are doing to keep us safe,” Mr. Khan said in an interview with Sky News, warning that not enough was being done to prevent people convicted of terrorist offenses from carrying out attacks.

“What are the government doing to make sure they are not a danger to the public?” asked Mr. Khan, ... a member of the opposition Labour Party.

Yes, Muslim jihadists need to be imprisoned longer or executed. What London mayor Sadiq Khan won't say, for obvious reasons, is that Britain would have fewer Muslim jihadists if it imported fewer Muslims.

Khan , an Islamic Laborite/socialist is complaining that the current law does not keep terrorists in jail. There is a new overwhelmingly Conservative government in Britain. It would seem there ought to be absolutely no difficulty in achieving a rare moment of bipartisan consensus and change the law quickly. If they can’t toughen the law then Britain is far beyond salvage.

Isn’t Khan the one who said (paraphrase) ‘violence/murders are part and parcel of living in a big city’? Explaining away why his compatriots shouldn’t be held accountable.

“It would seem there ought to be absolutely no difficulty in achieving a rare moment of bipartisan consensus and change the law quickly.”

Perhaps to a ‘normal’ thinking person. But in Europe, at this point, it’s considered RACIST to increase the sentence. Their twisted logic is: “Why should predominately Muslim criminals be sentenced to longer jail terms for knifing people than predominately white criminals who pickpocket?”

Although you can find thousands of sites that attribute that quote to him, in reality he never said that. He was being interviewed about a terror attack in New York City and he said that part and parcel of running a big city is that you always have to be vigilant, then he went on to praise the responders of NYC. In true Internet fashion his words were twisted around and spread worldwide. It doesn't take much searching to find the actual interview.

Mayor Khan says plenty of stupid things on his own. No need to make stuff up.

Hang on now. It was “terror related” so not actually an act of terror. SMDH!

What he actually said

In case you had trouble with his accent here is the part that gets misquoted:

“Part and parcel of living in a great global city is you’ve got to be prepared for these things, you’ve got to be vigilant, you’ve got to support the police doing an incredibly hard job. We must never accept terrorists being successful, we must never accept that terrorists can destroy our life or destroy the way we lead our lives.”

The muzz mayor is as responsible as the stabbers. He gives them aid and comfort. What a filthy hypocrite.

What the london mayor forgot to mention was he was angry that the stabber did not kill more white people. He purposely lets jihadists go knowing full well they are going to kill all those white Brits that all muslims, like the mayor, want dead.
