Lamar Alexander: Trump’s Actions ‘Improper, Crossing the Line’
Breitbart ^ | 2 Feb 2020 | PAM KEY

Posted on 02/02/2020 11:31:07 AM PST by Hojczyk

Senator Lamar Alexander (R-TN) on Sunday on NBC’s “Meet the Press” described President Donald Trump’s actions in dealing with Ukraine and the military aid authorized by Congress as “improper.”

Alexander said, “Well, if you have eight witnesses who say someone left the scene of an accident, why do you need nine? The question for me was, do I need more evidence to conclude the president did what he did? And I concluded no.”

He continued, “I think he shouldn’t have done it. I think it was wrong. Inappropriate was the way I’d say, improper, crossing the line. And then the only question left is who decides what to do about that.”

He added, “The people is my conclusion.”

He concluded, “I think what he did is a long way from treason, bribery, high crimes, and misdemeanors. I don’t think it’s the kind of inappropriate action that the framers would expect the Senate to substitute its judgment for the people in picking a president.”

“...crosses the line....”

A imaginary line drawn in the sand, erased with the first sigh of the wind. Lamar Alexander may believe the line was there, but it cannot be detected any longer.

I am in agreement.

The Dems do nothing but project in order to deflect.

I have yet to see Trump’s actual quotes. From what I know of him, I expect I would agree with him. The people twisting his words and actions are compulsive liars.

If Trump doesn’t want to prop up corruption (backed by, and for the profit of Dems) with US aid, I am in complete agreement.

Of course the REAL abuse of power for political gain was the whole Dem “Russian Collusion” hoax, but we won’t talk about that.

I am so glad this consummate RINO is leaving the Senate. I had to hold my nose and vote for him last time, maybe this next time we will have a true conservative and not a swamp master.

Evidently too drugged up to read the transcript to listen to the case put on by DJT’s lawyers - he got all he needed to know from the MSN.

Long past time for Tennessee to change out their other RINO senator. Time for Alexander to follow Corker out the door.

True.

I think I voted against him in the primary in 2014.
He is supposed to be retiring.

I thought the aid had already been held up for other reasons, and it eventually went through with no investigation of Biden by Ukraine. This is all BS.

We have a few folks on our side who are hopelessly “challenged”.

The president is supposed to advocate for our nation. Who is going to if he doesn’t. If there’s criminal activity going on, it’s his job to touch on it when he can. In the negotiations with the Ukraine, he did EXACTLY what he should have done.

How many FReepers do we have here making $83,000.00 dollars per month for things they are an expert on, let alone concerns they know nothing about.

Hunter Biden was leveraging his dad’s name and position to milk as much wealth of out foreign nations as he could.

Since when is it wrong for a president to be firm trying to get to the bottom of something like this?

And can someone please tell me what ticket Hunter is on, where he is scheduled to run against Trump? Ahhhh NO!
