Trump supporters also have greater science knowledge than voters who supported Clinton in 2016. According to the survey, "on six questions Trump supporters offer the correct answer significantly more often than Clinton supporters."
But here's where things get interesting.
Indeed, less than half of 2016 Clinton supporters (49.6%) are able to answer correctly both of two related questions: whether the earth goes around the sun or the sun goes around the earth (EARTHSUN) and whether that takes a day, a month, or a year (SOLARREV).
Remember these two questions are multiple choice! You would have a 50-50 chance of guessing correctly on the first part: whether the earth goes around the sun or vice versa. Sadly, the general public didn't do hugely better than Clinton supporters, with only 57.1% (compared to 49.6%) knowing that the earth goes around the sun and that it takes a year to do so.
So, if you don't know whether the Earth goes around the sun or how long it takes, you might be a Democrat.

Amusing, but not much more.
I think it is time to pass a test to vote...
Democrats tend to have more useless diplomas because a good chunk of them work for government in one form or another. They get rewarded, for accumulating credits in underwater basket weaving or learning to live with white privilege, with salary increases. This gets reported by the liberal media as Democrats are more highly-educated than Republicans.
Someone needed a test to determine that? Purty stoopid!
“Indeed, less than half of 2016 Clinton supporters (49.6%) are able to answer correctly both of two related questions: whether the earth goes around the sun or the sun goes around the earth (EARTHSUN) and whether that takes a day, a month, or a year”
Absolutely Incredible... And a second grade question at that... God help us.
How smart DO you need to be to NEVER put one of those pink hats on your head?
“whether the earth goes around the sun or the sun goes around the earth”
Well, according to Einstein, there is no universal reference frame, so either answer is equally valid.
Yes. But Clinton Supporters can scream louder.
So I found the questions and I would have gotten 100% but only by answering two questions which are still theory as if they were true, the Big Bang and Evolution.
Didn’t everyone already know this?
You could easily add "and sad" and I wouldn't object.
I would love for 20 Clinton and 20 Trump voters, randomly chosen, to take a standard IQ test, and see what the averages of each group is.
I would guess around 90 for Cs and 110 for Ts.
Drats would never allow it, of course.
How stupid are the Demwits in the academic world?
Finally - I understand why democrats fall for 'the sky is falling' scams year after year after year... (population bomb, alar, acid rain, killer bees, peak oil, ozone hole, dead polar bears, sea rise, global warming, global cooling, and 'climate change'...)
