If I ever meet Carl Berstein I plan to say “Carl Bernstein? Didn’t you used to work for Bob Woodward?”

“Tyrant” says Bernstein. “Dictator” says Nadler. These people really need to learn the meaning of words before they use them. I know the meaning of the words “ignorant” and “jackasses”, and therefore apply them properly to Bernstein and Nadler.

I did not even know the old codger was still alive. And alive or dead, I really don’t care what the man thinks. He is just another relic from an age long past and the sooner he departs the mortal coil the better.

I really don’t think it’s a “Cult of Trump” because I think few, if any, of the Senators or Congressmen like or respect or even fear Trump. It’s a “Cult of Trump’s Base” because that’s who they all live in fear of. And if that’s what keeps them in line and doing what the President wants them to do then that’s fine with me. Trump doesn’t need their respect or friendship. He needs them to live in terror of what his base can do to them and keep doing what they’re told.

Your post is spot on. And regardless of what people say about Nixon, he loved this country.

Quite unlike the past two Democrat Presidents and their supporters.

Just HOW is Trump a tyrant? These idiots call names with nothing to back it up.

this cult of Trump

Nothing like the cult of Bernstein and his fellow travelers. He’s a legend in his own mind.

Isn't it interesting the Woodward is still an active participant in Washington. He's the dean of Washington authors. I believe he wrote three books on the Bush presidency, two on the Obama presidency, and one on Trump's time in office - so far.

He's vital, he's in the middle of things. He writing books, and the books are always the talk of the town (D.C.) for at least a little while after release.

I read "Fear" his book about Trump's first year. I thought it was excellent. What I got out of the book (which I don't think was what he intended), is that Trump was smarter than all the people around him, over and over he turned out to be right.

For instance in the "Pussy-gate" dust-up, everyone was telling him he need to quit the race. The only one who got it was Bannon. Conway, Pence, the lot of them all thought it was over. Then, when they saw that Trump didn't give a damn about the tape, they were all counseling a deep apology to George Stephanopolis - ala Clinton admitting adultery, I guess.

Bannon said "No way. This is Trump! Trump doesn't apologize, Trump attacks. We attack."

There are many other examples in the book. I thought it was pretty good, despite Wooodward having a Leftist bias, he managed to do real reporting.

Now contrast with Bernstein. He's an angry old man, who only contributes his opinions on CNN - making him fairly unimportant, one of 1,000 anti-Trump commentators CNN retains on call.

He's obviously very bitter. Woodward seems jovial, like he's having a great time.

Reminds me of Simon and Garfunkle after the breakup. Paul Simon had even more hit records, Art Garfunkle, well we sort of found out who had the talent, and who was getting the ride-along, in both cases.

At least President Trump distracted Carl Bernstein from molesting little boys for a short time...

The corporate media in our country is no longer involved in journalism. They are a political special interest, no different than any lobbyist or other financial entity with an agenda.

It’s About Corruption – Replacing a Failed and Corrupt Political Establishment:
American Thinker.com ^ | January 31, 2020 | Brian C. Joondeph

The opening lines are prescient, becoming painfully obvious now almost four years after Candidate Trump laid out the scale of corruption.

President Trump has certainly given strong speeches, such as at the recent March for Life. But he may be remembered more for his raucous rallies and hilarious tweets. Yet one speech has flown under the radar.

On Oct. 13, 2016, just weeks before the election, Trump spoke at a campaign rally in Florida. Leading up to the election, he was holding several rallies each day, giving numerous speeches, but this seemingly random speech stands out.

Our movement is about replacing a failed and corrupt political establishment with a new government controlled by you, the American People. There is nothing the political establishment will not do, and no lie they will not tell, to hold on to their prestige and power at your expense.

The Washington establishment, and the financial and media corporations that fund it, exists for only one reason: to protect and enrich itself.

The establishment has trillions of dollars at stake in this election. As an example, just one single trade deal they’d like to pass, involves trillions of dollars controlled by many countries, corporations and lobbyists.

For those who control the levers of power in Washington, and for the global special interests they partner with, our campaign represents an existential threat.

Candidate Trump then went on to say:

It’s a global power structure that is responsible for the economic decisions that have robbed our working class, stripped our country of its wealth, and put that money into the pockets of a handful of large corporations and political entities.

This is money given to corrupt foreign countries, disguised as aid, only to be returned to the political elite by hiring their unqualified family members for do-nothing jobs, as in Hunter Biden, or funneling these U.S. taxpayer dollars back into political foundations, consultancies, or campaign contributions.

Once upon a time, journalists investigated such corruption. Now they ignore it, aiding and abetting the deception. As Trump said in his speech:

The corporate media in our country is no longer involved in journalism. They are a political special interest, no different than any lobbyist or other financial entity with an agenda.

Speak up against the cabal and you will be destroyed, or even commit suicide. Trump went on:

The establishment and their media enablers wield control over this nation through means that are well known. Anyone who challenges their control is deemed a sexist, a racist, a xenophobe and morally deformed. They will attack you, they will slander you, they will seek to destroy your career
and reputation. And they will lie, lie and lie even more.

We just watched the movie Valkyrie last night.

These fools know nothing about tyrants.

Trump is as far away from a tyrant as I can remember. Like you said, his big sin was winning. An impeachable offense for sure.
