I didn’t say AND THE DEMS BEAR NO BLAME.
So in essence you’re agreeing with the 3 Rs that voted for witnesses.
The Ds are our enemy. Only an IDIOT doesn’t expect them to want us crushed.
Rs are supposed to be on our side.
It’s obvious they’re not.
Folks like you are letting off the hook WAY too easy, I’m afraid, IMHO
I HOPE YOU ARE RIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!
We are cat owners, too!
We have our Champagne Chilled and READY! POP!
The dems have set up a 3-pronged assault here.
First, they would like to flip 4 votes, to get a majority.
Second, to convince Robers that he can break a tie vote. So a 50/50 vote goes to Roberts, he says “yes”; the senate than votes on whether he had that power, and a 50/50 vote fails.
Third, to convince Roberts that he has the authority to call for witnesses without a vote. Then, when the senate votes on whether he has that right, a 50-50 split “fails”, and they get witnesses. As part of this gambit, they also tried to trick the defense into going along with a scheme that let roberts decide, SUBJECT to a vote by senators; again, once Roberts said yes, a 50/50 vote would fail.
Senator Chris Van Hollen from Maryland thta the article refers to threatening a motion to have CJ break ties.
Nah. There isnt going to any Rs for witnesses. Too many nervous nellies redirecting Some blame for this debacle. The Ds own it all.
Thank you.
Hopefully many of them will have heart attacks and aneurisms when this fiasco ends.
Its sounding like Mitch is getting soft. These bastards are going to drag this out as long as they can. The president should not do SOTU address on Tuesday.
Simply outstanding meme, Matt!
Taxman Bravo Zulu!
I wonder if sending copies to Senator Rand Paul, Chief Justice Roberts, Majority Leader McConnell, or Minority Leader Schumer would be worthwhile?
Exactly what Roberts did . . .when it didn’t matter.
It can drag out for the purpose of demonstrating your idiocy or we can end this charade and get back to the business of America.
Either way...
