It's only January.
Somebody can step up to the plate.
someone did and backed out.
She’ll probably lose her seat anyway.

Trump expresses support for Susan Collins in competitive Senate race © Aaron Schwartz President Trump on Monday expressed support for Sen. Susan Collins (R-Maine) as she faces a contentious Senate race next year.
Trump tweeted "I agree 100%" in response to a tweet from Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) that praised Collins.
"My friend @SenSusanCollins showed unbelievable courage during Justice Kavanaugh's confirmation and at other times when our country has needed a steady voice," Graham wrote last week.
"We need her to ensure a GOP majority in 2020. Please support her today," he added, including a link to the Collins campaign's donation page.
“Somebody can step up to the plate.”
Pleaseeee!
Will the Planned Parenthood money spigot be turned back on to flow to her campaign now after it was pulled from her?
She represents a state that Clinton won. Her vote may be inconsequential, and has probably been approved by Mitch McConnell beforehand.
Primary opponent or not, Republican,Senator Susan Collins has finished her political career if she is dumb enough to partner up with Traitor/Turncoat, low life, scum & vermin, Mitt Romney and cast her vote to seek more witnesses in the Trump Impeachment farce!!!
I would wisely suggest the Senator Collins support her POTUS, Trump rather then the Democrap scum and vermin, low life Pelsoi, Schiff & Nadler!!! Ms. Collins, state this minute that you will be voting no..period!!!
I can’t stand sellout moderates either, but she may be the best we can do with that seat at the moment.
Given her voting record, probably not a big deal, but we don’t need to lose another senate seat.
In the impeachment, both McSally and Gardner have moved up and gained “some” ground toward reelection, but they are still vulnerable. KS isn’t a given. Kobach may screw that up.
So our potential range is a net gain of 2 (MI and AL, holding all we have) to a net loss of 5 and losing control of the senate.
Doesn’t so much matter. She is not going down in a primary and she already barely holds on in a blue state. She’s not great, but she is calculating and it is unlikely we’d get another Repubican at all in her stead.
Collins could be said to be representing the wishes of her constituents...the same absolutely CANNOT be said of Mittens and Murkowski.
No. It'll all go to the Democrat. They smell blood in the water in this race.
We should we tolerate sell outs? Cant we spend a decade where the Rats have to tolerate sell outs? Please?
From what I can find out her opponent, State House Speaker Gideon is a truly nasty piece of work, not at all likeable and a had left lib, that won’t get many votes north of Augusta. Sen. Collins is completely aggravating most of the time but she isn’t nasty, Gideon IS NASTY and may save Collins.
In 2016 Trump lost Maine by less than the vote total of the POS Gary Johnson.
Democratic Hillary Clinton 357,735 47.83%
Republican Donald Trump 335,593 44.87%
Libertarian Gary Johnson 38,105 5.09%
Green Jill Stein 14,251 1.91%
Maine is in play in 2020
Maine at this point is Scotland without the oil. Portland is its Edinburgh.
Too many of its able and motivated citizens have left and its populace is overweighted with the government dependent.
I have never been able to vote for SC because of her stand on abortion, but ME does have a fairly conservative foundation. Many are Catholics, we were the first state to put limits on food stamps for young and middle age men without dependents. We also passed open and closed carry permitted without special licenses. Other areas we have definitely shown a liberal move, ie: marriage,
I don’t think she will lose her seat, the ‘mixed’ decisions she has made suits the state.
With her historically stated various stands on issues - we expect her to vote for things we agree with and sometimes vote for stands we don’t agree with.
I will probably write in a name again this year, like I did in ‘92 when I could not vote for Clinton or Bush and wrote in Alan Keyes.
Collins has always been hopeless and is from a blue state. Honestly, Alexander’s cheap shot statement bothers me more than Collins vote. He’s retiring and from a red state. Absolutely no reason for him to give the Dems campaign season fodder. Yet he did it anyway. These beltway life swampers just can’t help themselves. They hate POTUS and those that voted for him more than they love their country. It’s that simple.
