I manage a self storage facility just outside of Tacoma. I keep the door locked, mainly because it’s not a safe area. It also helps with a guy who obviously does not bathe frequently, and does not wash his clothes (he’s always wearing the same clothes). He is not a paying customer, he only comes in to raid my candy jar and talk about things I have no interest in, for like an hour. And when he leaves my office stinks for hours. Anymore, when I see him coming, I just go into the back office until he leaves (I can watch through a security camera on my phone). I’ve had regular, paying customers comment on the smell AFTER he’s been gone for a while. No more. I don’t put up with that. You live in a house with running water. USE IT.

Something died behind the metal wall of our fireplace and could not be removed without tearing out a rock wall. And it was something large, like a racoon. As soon as I noticed the smell, I began to use the an air purifier/cleaner and I never had a problem. I also use one in my kitchen, as I have high ceilings and don’t have a vent-a-hood over my cooktop. Before the cleaner, my kitchen always smelled like bacon and so did my cabinets. You can get models for $100 - $170 at Wal-Mart.
