New York Congressman Hakeem Jeffries argued at President Trump’s impeachment trial on Thursday that the Steele dossier did not constitute foreign meddling in an election because it was “purchased.”
Jeffries, a Democratic impeachment manager, was responding to a question posed by Sen. Richard Burr, who noted Hillary Clinton’s campaign hired Christopher Steele — a former British spy — to work with contacts abroad and compile the salacious dossier.
“The analogy is not applicable to the present situation because first, to the extent that opposition research was obtained, it was opposition research that was purchased,” Jeffries responded to the question.

Congressman Hakeem is not the brightest bulb on the tree. He didn’t do so well when straying from the scripts that were written for him. Of course, he didn’t so well when sticking to the scripts that were written for him either.
Steele is British, but Fusion GPS is an American company.
And he thinks a political opponent paying some one for “opposition research” and the federal .gov using said “opposition research”, unconfirmed, in a legal proceeding helps his case???

So the Obama deep state (Comey-Clapper-Brennan) begins to spy on Trump in 2015, Obama authorizes a counter intelligence operation (Crossfire Hurricane) which illegally wire taps the Trump campaign, black mails Flynn, attempts to black mail Trump with the dossier, sics Mueller on Trump based on suspected treason and upon failing, the next day a CIA “whistle blower” leads to an impeachment inquiry resulting in bogus articles and this is a wild Republican conspiracy theory?
It’s getting tiresome to say but the Democrat conspirators employ projection to deflect attention from their conspiracy to remove Trump from office. Whatever they accuse Trump of doing, they have done it first.
On the bright side, the white males representing Trump are far superior lawyers than the diverse house managers. Democrats like to say diversity is their strength. It is actually their Achilles heal.
How many votes were changed? Illegal? Do we have a count?
