Actually, I live in a wealthy community ( on the poor side of town.). The really rich folk are not obese at all.
I was a large guy in a senior role in two large companies. Onei. telecom. Another in banking. The higher I rose in the company, the more comments I heard on my waistline. And I am not what most people would call obeseI was built like a 40 year old stevedore or linebacker.
In the city I see young people who are just grossly obese. Its a nutrition thing, not an abundance thing.
Well, I would argue that abundance is in fact prosperity.
My parents and grand parents and the folks on old movies experienced the depression and war. They tend to be thin.
I understand your point though.
When you are first hired in banking management, your mentor is usually preparing for the curb. It's like a life cycle. And yes, don't get fat, bald, or other ways unattractive. For that sin it's the curb immediately without the parachute.

My brother is very wealthy, $4.5 million dollar home wealthy.
He lives in a super wealthy area.
All the people are super fit. I’m 25 lbs overweight on a 6-3 frame and felt morbidly obese.
At his daughters HS graduation party all the moms were super hot and fit and numerous trophy wives.
No tat’s and no smokers either.
