That concerns a PARTICULAR WITNESS.
NOT about calling witnesses in general.
He wanted to empower Roberts to make the typical rulings of a Judge WITH NO JUDICIAL REVIEW..meaning appeals court(the senate)...etc.
He wants to take away the power of the Senate ONCE THEY VOTE TO CALL WITNESSES

Schiff is wrong (again). Roberts does not have that authority to rule on witnesses.
New story just tonight that Roberts wanted to ban all questions about the whistleblower. McConnell told him the senate would hold a public vote and he would be rebuked. So he backed down and agreed as long and Eric Ciramella’s name was not used. That is what happened with Rand Pauls question. Rand Paul has already publicly stated the whistleblowers name a few weeks ago
I am waiting on them blaming trump for the assassination of JFK. It’s coming.

Schiff’s behavior in the house has made him feel all powerful. He actually thinks he can talk his way into giving Robert’s more power than the senate delegates to him. The senate makes the rules here, not Schiff and not Roberts. Roberts is just a referee. Any decision he makes can be over ridden. When it comes to protecting senate rules the turtle becomes the bulldog.

this is so over...and you can sense it by the Dem questions and answers....using words like “shake down” and scheme...they think they are at a Net Roots convention...Most if not all these Senators are lawyers...they gotta be pissed.

Dem answers and questions are nothing but the same old political statement talking points.
It's not within the power of Congress to take this away, either by vote of the Senate or a ruling in an impeachment trial by the Chief Justice.
It's the President's right, and if he wants to contest the call of witnesses via the full and complete access to the courts, the Senate cannot take that right of access to the courts away from him.
It was a trap by Schiff to offer this compromise to the President's team, because it's not his nor the Senate's compromise to offer.

No. Some peeps are drama queens. If libs had ‘anything’ they would have played their hands long ago. Trump will win. Libs are just throwing everything at the wall to see if anything can stick.
