John Bolton Quid Pro Quo?: Took Six Figures From Ukrainian Oligarch Pinchuk (Clinton Foundation Donor)
nationalfile.com ^ | January 28, 2020 | PATRICK HOWLEY

Posted on 01/29/2020 8:08:14 AM PST by Liz

Fired White House national security adviser, John Bolton, pocketed $115,000 from Ukrainian oligarch Viktor Pinchuk’s foundation shortly before being hired by Trump. The Washington Post noted, Pinchuk has exceeded $10 million in donations to the Clinton Foundation.

Bolton now claims he has an unpublished manuscript reportedly accusing Trump of wanting to withhold military aid to Ukraine. Bolton is known as a rabid neoconservative interventionist. Trump fired Bolton and cited his opposition to Bolton’s foreign policy views, accusing Bolton of undermining his negotiations with the North Korean regime.

The neocon contingent strongly supports the U.S. funding and arming of Ukraine to challenge Russian leader Vladimir Putin, an oil exporter who is hated by the Washington foreign policy establishment.

A financial disclosure shows that Bolton accepted $115,000 from the Victor Pinchuk Foundation for two speeches in September 2017 and February 2018. In Kiev, Bolton expressed that the US national security establishment would not allow Trump to become unconventional on policy, stating, “The notion that [Trump’s presidency] is going to represent a dramatic break in foreign policy is just wrong. Calm down, for God’s sake.”

Republicans continue to rally behind the president...... “My hypothesis is that this is part of a coordinated leak in order to change the narrative....designed to manipulate the thinking of my Republican colleagues in the Senate to open it up and provide for more witnesses,” Meadows said.

Meadows pointed to numerous firsthand witnesses who absolve the president of wrongdoing, “including the actual president of Ukraine." Meadows scoffed at the idea that Bolton is some kind of “super-witness” due to “an alleged conversation that he didn’t repeat.”

"Pinchuk gave to everyone, more than likely."

Of course he does, everyone making a corrupt or even questionable buck will pass out money to anyone who can possibly help them. The real issue is who takes that money and what if anything do they do in return for it.

A little snack of about a hundred grand could be paid back with a subtle nudge somewhere no one would notice but it would still be illegal and part of a culture of corruption.

But it certainly demonstates a conflict of interest in Bolton’s case.

Exactly. Thanks for filling out my thoughts.

Do they take it because everyone does? Or do only those take it who are willing to be influenced by it? Big question.

Some say the Ukrainian government has no coherent development policy.

Wrong......Ukraine has a dedicated development policy: ripoff US taxpayers for billions in foreign aid
they then recycle hundred$ of million$ back to connected US politician$ and their bagmen to get MORE aid.

====================================

THE SALIVATING HILLARY GOT TO THE UKRAINE GOLDMINE FIRST

THEN PRES BILL GREASED THE SKIDS Ukraine entered into the "Treaty Between the United States of America and Ukraine on Mutual Legal Assistance in Criminal Matters," negotiated then- by President William Clinton and ratified by the U.S. Senate in 2000.

Pres Trump is being impeached for following US law initiated by then-Pres Clinton.
The US chief law enforcement officer requested that Ukraine assist our AG in investigating possible criminal activity 2014-16.

Looks like the Clintons do not want their activities with Ukraine exposed?

<><> A 2015 WSJ report includes a chart of “foreign donors” to the Clinton Foundation showing “Ukraine” as a top donor among a list of large donors including “foreign individuals and their foundations and companies" while Clinton was secretary of state from Jan. 21, 2009 to Feb. 1, 2013.

<><> Ukrainian oligarch Pinchuk donated from $10-25 million to the Clinton Foundation between 1994-2005.
<><> Pinchuk hired Clinton pollster Doug Schoen @$40,000 per month in 2000. In 2004, Schoen introduced Pinchuk to Hillary.
<><> Schoen set-up nearly a dozen meetings between Pinchuk and senior State Dept officials between Sept 2011 and Nov 2012.
<><> FOIA Emails show billionaire oligarch Pinchuk invited to dine at Secy of State Hillary's home despite denials they met.

<><> Victor Pinchuk, a former Ukrainian parliamentarian and businessman whose father-in-law is a former president of Ukraine is a connected Ukrainian who served two terms as an elected member of the Ukrainian Parliament and is a proponent of closer ties between Ukraine and the European Union.

Chelsea Clinton and Viktor Pinchuk in Kiev, Ukraine 8/21/16.

<><> The Clinton Foundation publicly reports, and its foundation spokesman confirmed, that other foreign entities have given more than the Pinchuk Foundation (which is listed as having given between $10 million and $25 million).

<><> Between 2009 and 2013, including when Mrs. Clinton was secretary of state, the Clinton Foundation received at least $8.6 million from the Victor Pinchuk Foundation based in Kiev, Ukraine, the Journal reported.

<><> In 2008, “Mr. Pinchuk made a five-year, $29 million commitment to the Clinton Global Initiative (a wing of the foundation that coordinates charitable projects) "to train future Ukrainian leaders and professionals to modernize Ukraine," according to the Clinton Foundation.
<><> Several alumni of the Clinton program are current members of the Ukrainian Parliament.

<><> Ukranian Pinchuk was especially generous---not only blanketing the Clinton Foundation with money, he hired Hillary for a $300,00 speech to help him boost Ukraine's creds; even Chelsea got into the act.

CIRCA 2013----Ukranian billionaire Viktor Pinchuk hires Hillary to give a speech at a Ukraine forum discussing regime change,
exiting Russia....and hitting up the US for more foreign aid.

I am not the least bit surprised at all of the Dems and MSM acting like a “unpublished manuscript” (which could be completely FICTION and/or written by ghostwriter/s), seems to be equivalent to some sworn testimony or FACTS already on the table.

I am most disappointed that Bolton seems to be doing/saying nothing that is helpful related to this matter.

I used to really respect Bolton and thought that he was one of the most intelligent and knowledgeable people related to all foreign issues.

Actually, it points to why Bolthead would not be happy with a Ukraine investigation.
