Mystery lab next to coronavirus epicentre

It may just be a coincidence.

But the deadly coronavirus outbreak now sweeping the world began 30km from China’s most advanced viral research laboratories – the Wuhan Institute.

The Washington Times quoted former Israeli intelligence officer Dany Shoham as claiming The Wuhan Institute of Virology is part of a secret biological weapons program.

“Certain laboratories in the institute have probably been engaged, in terms of research and development, in Chinese (biological weapons), at least collaterally, yet not as a principal facility,” he asserted without corroborating evidence.

Mr Shoham says he was a Mossad lieutenant colonel specialist in biological and chemical warfare. But so far he’s the only apparent expert to make such a link.

Similar stories have begun circulating in China.

Only there, the claims — which are not censored under China’s strict information management regime — assert the virus is the result of a US germ warfare conspiracy.

“There is no evidence that it was a bioweapon, and any claims that it is wilfully spreads misinformation and is incredibly irresponsible,” warns MIT security studies professor Vipin Narang.

China already stands accused of breaching international treaties and engaging in biological weapons research.

“Information indicates that the People’s Republic of China engaged during the reporting period in biological activities with potential dual-use applications, which raises concerns regarding its compliance with the BWC,” the 2019 annual US State Department report on China’s arms treaty compliance warns.

“The United States has compliance concerns with respect to Chinese military medical institutions’ toxin research and development because of the potential dual-use applications and their potential as a biological threat.”

But Prof Narang doubts the 2019-nCoV virus is an escaped bioweapon: “It would be a terrible bioweapon because of blowback. A good bioweapon, in theory, has high lethality but low, not high, communicability.”

The lab’s logo has the EXACT same shape as that umbrella, but is in white and blue.

And, corona is a letter within being an anagram for Raccoon. (Things that make you go “hmm”)

That is good news. Now scientists can get to studying.

Anyone know what is at March Air Force base.

If I was on the plane I would be worried I was about to be tested and prodded and quarantined like some kind of Sci Fi movie.

“...o March Air Force Base on Wednesday. 240 people, possible 2 week stay.”

Thank goodness. I hope it is true. I’ve been saying that for awhile, but it seems pretty obvious, even to an idiot like me.

If it was me, I would put everybody coming in from Asia in quarantine for two weeks.

Ittps://www.zerohedge.com/markets/harvard-chemistry-chair-2-chinese-nationals-arrested-lying-about-china-ties-smuggling

In a shocking revelation made Tuesday afternoon - a revelation that will almost certainly rattle the US-China relationship at an already fragile time - a federal court unsealed indictments against Harvard professor and Chemistry Department Head Charles Lieber, along with two Chinese nationals. One is a Boston University researcher who was once a lieutenant in the People’s Liberation Army, according to prosecutors, and the second was a cancer researcher who tried to smuggle 21 vials of biological materials in his sock - allegedly. Lieber has been arrested, though it’s not clear if he’s still in custody.

But I think that’s cold heart’s reasoning.

Just like a wounded soldier takes up a lot of resources, a sick patient will too.

But one guy with a backhoe can handle a lot of bodies in a day.

Earlier, when seeing lots of 30 to 50 year-olds getting sick, I posted about how that is prime working ages. Good age to go after if it is the economy you are trying to destroy.

Based on that video, it must be pretty rare to cure. Ten doctors taking time out of their busy day to wish all of the recovered patients sure breaks into their day. And they would run out of flowers!

Just saw something interesting. Will have to research later.

If you start getting hit with coronovirus and a cytokine storm try nicotine.

So does this mean if you smoke two packs of cigarettes a day you arent going to the the Bat Virus???

I guess throwing on a nicotine patch when you are lying in bed thinking you are about to die might be something to try as a last resort.

FDA issues stern warning to Purell hand sanitizer maker

The part under “Handwashing still recommended” is most important and should be brought to the attention of staff members in today’s stinky, dirty hospitals.

Obviously the odds are pretty good for him.

Those odds in general will go down the longer the virus is spreading over there, and the number of incoming passengers continues to increase.

Just like a wounded soldier takes up a lot of resources, a sick patient will too.

Not nearly as many resources, and for a shorter period of time. If the low lethality is meant to be part of the attack, then it's primariy an economic weapon meant to greatly diminish economic activity. Nobody will go anywhere if there is a 2% chance of dying from being in public.

There was a really good video from some Hong Kong doctors. They did some modeling and estimate that the peak in Wuhan will be near the end of April (8 weeks from now). And then in Jinjing the middle of May, and so on.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PYOSBhkkUMU

I would take Hong Kong’s word over some Chinese official.

For personal considerations, remember our social environment (see my tagline).

People are Googling ‘Corona beer virus’, seem to think novel coronavirus is related to lager

I've read where vaping might help?? (Maybe you posted about that). But it isn't the nicotine, it is the propylene glycol that kills the virus. (But maybe the nicotine does too?)

I know when I used to smoke and chew tobacco the mosquitoes never bothered me. Even when I wasn't smoking. Maybe the viruses are like mosquitoes!?

Don’t know what’s at March, but I’d feel safer there than in any civilian city. Even more so on an Army post.

Thank you for the YouTube link. One would think that warmer weather, higher solar angle and longer days would help, but we’ll see.

I was bitten on the hand by a little brown bat while spelunking as a teen. I tried grabbing one from the ceiling. The teeth felt like needles and went right through my glove and into my hand.
