The ratification period for the ERA expired decades ago.

Also, a few states which originally ratified the amendment, rescinded their ratifications within the time period for ratification of the amendment.

Both of those issues will have to be hashed out in court, if the liberals choose to take this merely symbolic approval of the equal rights amendment to court.

If the ERA were to become law, it would almost certainly provide the legal basis to enshrine left-wing social dogmas nationwide, among other negative consequences. Other states should take note: No matter how conservative your state has been in the past, you’re just one leftist legislature away from radical change.

I gave up reading or watching science fiction partly because I hated the realistic dystopia (as well as the far leftist tilt of 90% of mag.editors and authors).

I remember when the ERA was first touted in the 80's, the proponents swore up and down and every which way it would NOT mandate allowing boys to participate in girls sports, nor allow men to use women's restrooms. HA!

My main question for R’s at the Lincoln Day Dinner is going to be, What is the point of having a state constitution if the governor and legislature may ignore it with impunity?
Since you allowed this without making any apparent effort to see the laws enforced why should I continue to support you?
