There’s a Constitutional and historical remedy for it.
Takes balls and guts, but it’s there nonetheless.

The ratification period for the ERA expired decades ago.
Also, a few states which originally ratified the amendment, rescinded their ratifications within the time period for ratification of the amendment.
Both of those issues will have to be hashed out in court, if the liberals choose to take this merely symbolic approval of the equal rights amendment to court.

If the ERA were to become law, it would almost certainly provide the legal basis to enshrine left-wing social dogmas nationwide, among other negative consequences. Other states should take note: No matter how conservative your state has been in the past, youre just one leftist legislature away from radical change. I gave up reading or watching science fiction partly because I hated the realistic dystopia (as well as the far leftist tilt of 90% of mag.editors and authors).
Now the horrors of such things as VA being Dem and all the above stuff is being brought into reality anyway.

There are special elections here in Texas today and I fear we won't be able to hold those seats 😬 We'll know in a few hours! God I hope we hold on..keeping fingers crossed!! And praying 🙏🏻

I remember when the ERA was first touted in the 80's, the proponents swore up and down and every which way it would NOT mandate allowing boys to participate in girls sports, nor allow men to use women's restrooms. HA!

Yah think?
Already happened here in Nevada.
D’s got away with ignoring the state constitution, to push through their agenda.
My main question for R’s at the Lincoln Day Dinner is going to be, What is the point of having a state constitution if the governor and legislature may ignore it with impunity?
Since you allowed this without making any apparent effort to see the laws enforced why should I continue to support you?
And no, “’Cause we are better than the alternative” is NOT a sufficient answer.
At this point they are NOT “better”, just enablers.
Yes, I am still steamed!

Watch New Mexico, the decades old rule by members of the Lujan family rolls on in the new governor who has shown a great like for ‘monkey see, monkey do’ political rule. All Democrat state houses and a dem governor is ripe for a Virginia type takeover. So far she pretty well has echoed desires to copy pretty well all the democrat dreams like in California, New Jersey and Virginia.

The legal augment for the ERA to move forwsrd from here isn’t dubious it’s utterly non-existent.

Is there a way states can de-ratify amendments?
