They will have a really hard time if their name is attached to a dumb question

They did what they could - the President’s attorneys made their case and moved on.

I think they did exactly what they came to do - give GOP senators reason to vote for acquittal.

And Dershowitz last night gave them cover.

Graham has been very supportive of Trump on all this

How so? Graham has refused to hold a single hearing on this CIA backed impeachment hoax. Graham has real power to engage these seditious bastards and thanks to people like you knows he doesn’t have to exercise it in support of POTUS. He can continue giving aid and comfort to the ongoing coup and win reelection easily.

You can bet that Trump will be his own defense lawyer at the rally tonight. The insight he has to time rally’s is amazing.

Most of the Dem questions will be about Bolton and other "witnesses", oh, Romney will also ask stupid questions.

That wasn’t the “closing arguments,” if that’s what you meant. There will be 4 hours each of closing arguments after the two days of Q&A (unless of course they prolong things with additional witnesses).

I have to wonder if the Bolton revelation changed the closing. It just seemed so weird. Even if you think there is no case, you still uphold the spine of your case in the closing. I agree with Turley. Strange closing.

The Dems will all vote to remove and Mitch gets new republican senators from West Virginia and Alabama.

Graham has been all over the place. I think he has skin in the Burisma/Ukraine corruption.

CSPAN just pushed a Quinnipiac poll saying 75% of people want to hear witnesses.

They're really pushing hard on this. Republicans don't fare well when they are pushed hard.

It was the closing argument before the questioning. Everyone is calling it the closing ..even Turley.

That’s not a closing argument, it was ending their presentation. When you have said everything you have to say.....stop talking.

Its a Democrat push poll. Doesn’t mean anything particularly when the country hasn’t even watched it.

A poll of senators will say that 98% of them want to get out of there and back to business as usual, regardless of which side they are on.

Well, I agree with Turley. This is not the way to teach students to close a case. ...even if you are talking to Senators.

It really depends on what the goal was. In a typical jury trial, the verdict needs to be unanimous, so they try to button everything down as much as possible.

Here, though, I think the Trump defense goal was to provide enough cover, and logical talking points to the few Senators who acted like they wanted special attention. With the exception of Romney, who seems to have some sort of mental problem, I think it was all accomplished.

You don’t want to overdo it. They kept it short and sweet and did it in only one day.

I think Dershowitz delivered the body blow to the House Managers case.
