Some of you don't like Roy Moore and I get it. He was reported to have chased young women when he was in his 30s. None the less, nobody could point to a law he had broken in relation to these relationships, or attempted relationships.

His wife today is considerably younger than he is. He has had a long and successful marriage. He wasn't just messing around. He met with parents. They gave permission.

Others who dislike him like to mention he was removed from Alabama's Supreme Court twice. Let's look at that.

What are your views regarding the Ten Commandments in the halls of the Alabama Supreme Court (and other court office) building?

In a time when the ACLU and non believers in God profess to be strong separation of church and state, they have no problem at all with Islam being taught in our schools. You see, this isn't about separation. It's about reducing the influence of the Christian God on our children.

I supported Roy Moore on the issue of the Ten Commandments, not because I wanted to see this as a "conversion" tool, but because of the Christian's right to free speech. We have a right to have our views on pubic display. Roy Moore understood that.

His other removal from that court was related to same sex marriages. He refused to abdicate his responsibility on that matter. He chose to be removed from office rather than compromise. Folks, I agree with him.

He did the right thing in both those cases.

This guy advocated for our views on both these cases. He tried to stop the slide into oblivion, that is overtaking our nation. At a time when we can see what capitulation has gained us, Roy looks very prescient with regard to his stances on these issues.

Those who think Moore was just a kook, really need to do some re-evaluation. They need to look inside themselves and ask if they share his views or not. If not, then for heaven sake recognize yourself for what you are. Don't go blaming Roy Moore for standing up in the face of adversity, and being willing to lose his status and position, to back what he believed (and I believed) to be the right thing.

Roy Moore wasn't being considered for the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court. His legal opinions weren't a consideration. His stance on morals, right and wrong, and our Founding Documents were what was on the line.

Like Trump, Moore's values aligned with ours. How sad it is to see folks trash him now, as if he lost in Alabama due to his own shortcomings. No, he didn't.

Moore lost in Alabama for the same reason Trump is on trial for Impeachment today. NOTHING!

His votes in the U. S. Senate would have been bolstering to our side. Today we would have a 54 44 majority in the U. S. Senate. If you add in the Independants, it would still be 52 46.

What that means is that we wouldn't have this situation where we cringe every time a big vote comes up. We would have that one more vote to prevent the Romney, Collins, et al cadre of turncoats to deal with.

Moore would have silenced that noise.

This was Mitch McConnell's resounding endorsement of Moore.

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell said Sunday that Moore will be sworn in as a senator if he wins on Dec. 12, saying he would "let the people of Alabama decide." In November, McConnell stood by Moore's accusers, saying "I believe the women," and calling on the candidate to "step aside" from the race. LINK

Who do we know who could have come within 1.65% or 21,924 votes out of 1,325,868 votes cast, the way Moore did despite being attacked by the demoncRats, the republiCons, the press, and forgetful well meaning misguided people, the way Moore did?

On the issues I care about, Roy Moore stood tall in the face of adversity. He would be an excellent addition to the U. S. Senate.

And I will say outright that there is as much reason from their posts to believe that the people who disparage him on this forum hate him for his opposition to gay marriage as for any other reason of any sort.

In fact, a cursory glance at their posting history shows that a lot of these same people backed the former governor of Massachusetts (who instituted homosexual marriage there) and were ticked off at Freepers who continued to oppose him after his governorship.

Homosexuality is pretty much what this is about.

I heard all the stories about underage women and one in particular saying he tried this and that. I saw an interview with the accusers mother saying that never happened. Then the young girl said her mom didn’t know about it because she took the phone call to meet Roy in her room. Her mom replied she didn’t have an extension in her room.

Later I heard he was banned from the mall for going after young women. Then saw an interview with the guy that ran the mall for 14 years as I recall during the time of the accusations and it was the only mall in town. He said he never had a problem with Roy Moore and Roy never got banned from the mall.

The Dims, as they always do, just fired accusation after accusation and some of them stuck, though they shouldn’t have. He got screwed and I don’t blame him for coming back and going after all those that did it. I admire his stick to it.

Bingo! The female accusations started way early in the overall timeline of most political candidates who later would be accused. Roy was early in this crap, and thus hung out to dry, just in case it was true. He got taken out early, yet the rats still have not ousted some of the accused from office, like Ellison from MN, simply because there were so many accusations over the next many months that viewers got bored, and started to doubt the number and veracity of the accusations, especially when affected the rat politicians.
