Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) is leading the Democrat primary field in Utah, a Salt Lake Tribune/Suffolk University poll released Monday showed.
Suffolk University conducted the poll January 18 – 22, 2020, among 132 Democrat primary voters. It showed the socialist senator leading by double digits with 27 percent support overall. Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) came in a distant second with 14 percent support, followed by Joe Biden (D) and Michael Bloomberg (D) with 12 percent and ten percent, respectively. Even though the margin of error is +/- 8.5 percentage points, Sanders’ lead is outside statistical error.

Regardless, I’m not a pollster and not a Dem pollster for Utah but there are relevant sample sizes and IMHO, this doesn’t cut it.
A poll of 132 Democrat voters regarding choice among Democrat candidates doesn’t mean Utah suddenly moves to the Democrat column in the general election.
Bernie will win the ‘Rat nomination as things stand, now, since the Dems bungled throwing Biden under the bus (too soon) and a brokered convention to put Hillary in as the savior candidate is far less likely now.
2016 primary results: (D) 79% Sanders, 20% Hillary
(R) Cruz 69%, Kaisch 17%, President Trump 15%.
25% is less than one third of the votes Sanders got 4 years ago. “Commanding” lead indeed, when 2/3rds of your voters are looking elsewhere.
Sanders/Gabbord -odds are good and a pretty smart move.

IOW, damn near all of them. The real contest in Utah is between the RINO wing of the GOP (Mitt Romney) and the Conservative wing (formerly Mike Lee before he got Washingtonized).
I have a cousin downstate who attends every GOP convention to represent the Conservative wing. The main trouble is that about 80% of Utah's population lives within 20 miles of I-15 on a 100 mile strip stretching from Provo to Logan, including an extraordinary number of recent move-ins from the People's Republic of California.
In contests where Democrats don't stand a chance, they will vote for RINOs like Romney.
Is Bernie corrupt enough for Romney?
What happens if come October ole’ Bernie has another heart attack and dies. Does his VP get to be the front runner. Maybe he should make Kamala Harris his running mate.
