And yet it will mean nothing to them. Debate is dead in "the world's most deliberative body."
It may turn off viewers like us, who are paying attention, that Senators will ignore two centuries of precedence and meaning of the Constitution and vote the party line, but unless the Senators feel threatened in some way (like through polling), they will vote like this week never happened.

THere is a person here who didn’t understand what I meant by PHilbin talking in his low monotone droning on and on.
I ask him.. whoever he was.. to compare Philbin to what you are seeing with Dershowitz.
The tone. The content. The vibrancy . The keeping the jury interested. The talking to everyone in all points of the room, Etc.
This is a trial lawyer... and a good Professor.
