The Spanish Flu in 1918 had a little over 1% death rate. That was about the worst we've ever had.

And aren’t most of the masks made in China, what if those have the virus on them?

Crowd control is a very important thing.

Those hospital scenes shouldn’t look like that. Control access and only let in a few people at a time. Use security, the police, or the military if you have to.

Set up barricades.

I’m sure everyone is doing all they can, but with those shoulder to shoulder situations in the hallways, it slows everything down. Staff has to address crowd control instead of fight disease. Very bad.

Those sounded a lot like gunshots in that one scene.

Anger in those situations isn’t going to help. Be persistent, but if you get angry you’ll get no help.

That food situation was the first thing I thought of when I heard of the quarantine.

Folks, this is a reminder of the supplies we need to keep on hand. If you don’t have several months of water and dried food on hand, you’re taking a very big chance.

If I had to, I could stay in my home for a couple of months.

We should all be able to.

Tears....just watching this vid.

They were SPRAYING people (from Wuhan) who were up against that building....then...the FOGGING spray, throughout the neighborhood. What were they spraying????

The people being turned around, from other towns, was heartbreaking.

The hospital scenes....the dead/dying on the floors, the HUNDREDS of people crammed into EVERY hallway....too much.

The people at the market....buying up what scraps were left.

The complete breakdown of society.

Prayers.

The thing is, The Spanish Flu killed people in the prime of life, the elderly actually had a better chance of surviving it than younger victims.

Shelves will be empty and with the roads closed up....I’d predict riots starting within a day or two. If the cops thought they could control this, they were wrong.

for you medical people

https://www.nature.com/articles/nm.3985

On the basis of these findings, we synthetically re-derived an infectious full-length SHC014 recombinant virus and demonstrate robust viral replication both in vitro and in vivo. Our work suggests a potential risk of SARS-CoV re-emergence from viruses currently circulating in bat populations.

My thought is that probably most people walk there all the time.

Are they trying to walk to the doctor or hospital. Or to get food, despite feeling bad?

Or does this cause a sudden onrush of symptoms, maybe a cytokine storm with few prior symptoms that drops them suddenly.

and for non medical people

from internet

In vitro (Latin for within the glass) refers to the technique of performing a given procedure in a controlled environment outside of a living organism. ... In vivo (Latin for “within the living”) refers to experimentation using a whole, living organism as opposed to a partial or dead organism.

If we start seeing these images from Beijing and Shanghai then yes, it’s going to be bad.
