Trump knows jobs. We have millions of jobs. He knows how to get things moving. We’ve seen a dramatic bump in economic growth. He focuses with laser-like intensity on the middle class. We’re enjoying dramatic middle-class wage growth. He understands stocks. We’re in the midst of one of the greatest stock markets of all time. Yet there’s virtually no inflation. This is the perfect economy.

...

Trump also knows the Federal Reserve and he was able to talk them out of causing a recession.

Here’s a guy who’s made himself a billionaire and he cares about the little guy.
Something other politicians always promise and NEVER deliver.

I love happy endings...

https://nypost.com/2020/01/24/normalcy-returns-to-guatemala-mexico-border-after-latest-migrant-caravan/

CIUDAD HIDALGO, Mexico — From the roadside stand where his family sells mole, barbecue and chicken stew, Miguel Ángel Vázquez has seen all the caravans of Central American migrants and asylum seekers stream past his front door in recent years, throngs of people driven to flee poverty and violence in hopes of a better life in the United States.

After watching armored National Guard troops and immigration agents break up the latest one right on his doorstep, loading men, women and wailing children onto buses and hauling them off to a detention center in the nearby city of Tapachula, he’s sure of one thing.

“I can see that these caravans are no longer going to pass,” said Vásquez, 56.

And what do you know, the article goes on to say that once the illegal immigration circus was rolled up, things returned to normal. That security (and the population) could easily distinguish between those who are entering Mexico from Guatemala for normal visitation or shopping from those who are trying to gate crash either Mexico or the United States.

Ahh, yes, happy endings and fulfilled campaign promises.

Yep, the same occurred to me in the past few weeks. We always knew that the ‘wall’ was as much (or more) of a metaphor, meaning a real commitment to secure the border, as it was an actual structure...and he’s delivered there (along with the real structure finally taking form).

But the Left never stopped hammering us on who pays for it...and now we have our answer - Mexico is paying us, indirectly, by stopping the flow on their southern border, and thus allow us to end the overtime and contractor expenses we had when we were getting flooded with Illegals...and since money is fungible, it now goes into that real, physical, wall.

Re: “Illegal immigrant crossings nationwide are down almost 80%. At the Arizona-Mexico border, illegal crossings are down by 94%.”

I would very much like to see the links for those two claims - none provided in the article.

In FY 2019, we had the highest number of apprehensions on the southwest border in the last 15 years - close to 900,000.

Any year that follows 2019 is going to look like a big improvement.

In the first three months of FY 2020, apprehensions on the southwest border dropped from 150,000 to 100,000.

That's great - except for one problem...

In the first three months of FY 2015, Obama’s numbers were 20% BELOW Trump's numbers in FY 2020!

If we had an honest media which reported facts rather than spin, he would be leading nationwide by a margin of 80% to 20% or more. The 20% would be the hardcore communists and the lazy who prefer the sure thing of a government check to a real paycheck they have to earn.

As a life-long accounting/bookkeeping person, I have advocated for over 40 years that the President of the USA should have a successful business background.

Congress hasn’t done decent budgets since the late 50’s, and they are doing an even worse job today on that topic alone. You & I cannot run a budget deficit for dozens of years-—why should the Federal Government???

Based upon the levels of corruption uncovered recently & with probably more to come, I am thinking that the ‘leaders’ in Congress don’t have a clue about real budgets because they are getting cuts of monies sent from the USA to other countries.

Many democRat politicians have never held a private sector job, much less been the owner or even the person responsible for driving profits.

See what a difference it makes.
