The Senate impeachment trial of President Trump continues with opening arguments by the President’s defense team.
President Trump's Legal Council has in 2 hours destroyed 24 hours of ComDem's House Manager's testimony.

It occurs to me that if he’s acquitted, some are not going to be any happier with the outcome than when Trump was elected.
I foresee the same kind of reaction to his acquittal.
Might be a good idea for people to be prepared and make sure their arms are in good working order and they have food and/or a bug out plan if necessary.

Did Dershowitz speak today?
I thought he was supposed to set the table by explaining how this whole waste of time and money was Unconstitutional.
They’re going to begin impeachment hearings again right after the acquittal. I don’t doubt it in the least!
I thought today was pretty lame - couldn’t hold my interest. The attorneys didn’t say anything that we haven’t been tuned to for the past year and a half since they started the farce anyway. Anyone who listens to Fox and Sarah Carter, John Solomon, Greg Jarrett, Judge Jeanine and so many others could have presented the same defense...I looked forward to hearing from Jay Sekulow but it wasn’t that great. I hope Dershowitz does his thing and put it to bed for everyone. I got a kick out of Shifty and his friends writing on legal tablets like mad when the attorneys were speaking.
Probably on Monday. They’re going to go into their case in depth on Monday and Tuesday but they won’t use up all of their allotted time.

I thought so too and was disappointed. I thought he would lead it off. He said he would speak as to the Constitution only and was not there as defense and he wouldn’t have needed 24 hours to present a case. He said anyone needing more than 2 hours knew they didn’t have a case. I hope they put him on Monday and we don’t have to wait it out for him to speak. It needs to be done immediately. I didn’t see anything that impressed me with today’s proceedings.

If Soros decides to have people sit down on freeway entrances and exits or refuse to leave city streets for 12 hours it may be the start of some friction. Maybe professionally printed placards and banners are already in a warehouse. "Trump Afraid of Witnesses. Why?" "Illegitimate President" "Trump is a Traitor." "America Founded on Slave Labor","Save on Insurance by Calling Geico"---that last one got into the shipment by mistake.

Well, I don’t think the uninformed were going to watch anyway. I don’t think any of “that sort” wants to hear the truth so they wouldn’t have tuned into it. I know liberals who are proud to say - “we don’t watch Fox”... The same for years of people saying “I don’t listen to Rush because I don’t like him.”
Truthfully, I don’t know why I did turn it on other than to hear Dershowitz and he wasn’t on.. He said the other night on Hannity that he’d spent hours going over old dusty books on the constitution and he’s prepared..
I was in and out of the room so didn’t see the camera on them except when they were writing on legal tablets..I hope he developed a bad case of heartburn or something worse! I don’t care - I just don’t like the guy. Never have! I was crazy about the guy he replaced in the CA district - Jim Rogan. I think there was something entirely different in the House Managers at Clinton’s impeachment - something much more professional maybe - NOT POLITICIANS...or I wouldn’t remember it so well. The hours these guys wasted this week was worse than anything I could even name! ONE GREAT LONG CAMPAIGN SPEECH PLAYED OVER AND OVER AND OVER! Just like Gohmert and Biggs said last night - to win over the 2020 voters.
Despite this that POS Mitt just said he still going to push to give the rats their witnesses.
I asked the his true believer image on my TV screen, rhetorically, “Are you asking me to believe that I did NOT hear what I very clearly DID HEAR?”
Since that was exactly what he was demanding, I took him at his word, so I in response I then heard him say in my imagination, as he pounded the air, since fantasy seems to be the order of the Democrat Managers:

We feel Trump is an illegitimate president; that he stole the 2016 presidential election from the real president with the help of evil Russians! It’s that we hate that Orange Man is winning despite every serious and overwhelming allegation we can throw at him, which must be investigated! Listen to these important and serious allegations, which are very overwhelming not mere facts which take work to find!”
Not only did I “hear” him say this in response to his assumptions we’d believe what he tells us instead of the REALITY we’ve really heard, but he goes on to assume we will ignore the REALITY of evidence of our own eyes we’ve really seen, and we’ll only see what Schifty Schiff wants us to see, so I again saw in my imagination what he wanted me to see. I was so “whelmed,” I suddenly saw Schiffty Schiff as progressive’s see him, at least as some of the talking heads on CNN and MSNBC see him.
As he spoke these words of truth greater than fact, Schiff’s eyes widened, larger than life, as his whole body took on a glow of heavenly light and an Obama-like blinding halo appeared around his head, while an even dozen angels sprang from his ass, and the other House Managers sprouted bright white feathered wings and took flight, joining those angels singing “HALLALUIA!” flying around Schifty Schiff’s sudden shining, bright apotheosis in spiraling orbits, leaving trails of multi-colored rainbows and sprinkling twinkly stars in their wakes! It was truly glorious!
Man that was some Schiff he was spreading which reached out from my TV and grasped me by my imagination! Oh my. . . Progressive LSD!
At that point, I had to save my sanity and I turned off my TV.

Thank You Rush, today was not for us. We KNOW all of these facts (although they did present some things for the record that were not presented before). It’s for those, unlike us, who don’t know these things. Think the majority who’ve been following the mainstream fake news.
This was also for the Senators who had NOT spent the time following every detail of the actual spoken or read the transcripts of the testimony. The President’s team showed that the Democrat Managers MISREPRESENTED the actual testimony by impeaching their witnesses out of their own mouths and from their own transcripts in every single case.
The demonstrated their star witness, Ambassador Gordon Sondland, upon which every other witness’ hearsay claims they heard from others can be traced originated essentially “made it up out of whole cloth” from assumptions, presumptions, and speculation,” which was NOT presented by the Democrat’s House Managers. . . and repeatedly asked why this self-impeachment by Ambassador Sondland was NOT shown? That admission should have destroyed anything he had sworn to as being dispositive, and tainted the downstream of his tainted comments to others.
THAT is what was accomplished today in the laying of ground by the President’s team.
Dershowitz is a college professor and so his lecture would take the customary 50 minutes. Which 50 minutes of today would you have sacrificed for a lecture on constitutional law when we already know the argument because Shiffty gave it - we don't need no stinkin' high crimes and misdemeanors to peach the prez. Besides Trump's existence is a high crime.
What we got today was what we needed - 2 hrs of straightforward simple - these are the facts ma'am - rebuttal of the Dems 24hrs of droning on and on. It is exactly what the doctor ordered.
The dismissal better be "with prejudice" which means that not only can't you bring this case again, but you can't bring any case that involves facts that you knew or should have discovered in the pursuit of this case.
