The Senate spectator gallery was at least half-empty throughout the first week of President Donald Trumps impeachment trial and senators serving as the jury in the marathon sessions are taking notice some stunned that there arent more people watching history unfold, while others understand the public avoiding the repetitive proceedings.
Im really surprised at that because this is kind of historic and I would think this would be an opportunity for people to get in there regardless of whose side you are on, Sen. James Inhofe (R-Okla.) told The Post Friday.
Journalists arent allowed to bring cellphones or cameras into the gallery, so the noticeably small audience is known directly only to people able to access the chamber.

How about that! Congress taking a knee gets the same reaction as the NFL taking a knee.

LOL
I expect more to be watching when the President’s team has the floor.
Our side was too bored with the Schiff Excruciating Side Show and their side already knows that the President will stay and probably have another 4 years...
Beautiful!
The only thing historic about it is that it is a historic bore.
I have to add that I didn't realize that Inhofe was such a clueless egomaniac. What an opportunity to sit and watch a bunch of Senators dozing off for days because they are bored to death and too stupid to end the farce that they allowed to get going in the first place.
Who wants to watch a black woman who can’t read out loud? Who wants to watch managers that read the same stuff over and over?
To use current language, the proceedings are in fact a fake impeachment
The sum total of the Democrat House members are guilty of a conspiracy to overthrow the existing government. All and their staffs should be rounded up, stood against a wall, and shot.
Who would want to be in that Senate gallery, continually restraining ones self from grabbing the nearest object to throw at the pencil neck Schiff.
Yeah, I rather watch something more meaningful over the long span of time in our history as a nation - like a WNBA game.
