A bit of retconning would fix that.

In 2020, President Trump of the USA, Earth, created a Space Force. Now, five score years and a decade later, representatives of the Federated Planets have gathered here to unveil the official emblem of Starfleet Command. In a nod to Earth history, our new emblem resembles the historic one from the 20th century.

If the copyright holders have and sense they should be tickled pink about this. I can't imagine a better tribute to the franchise. Everyone will know where this emblem originated.

Also looks similar to our first hypersonic plane. Flies at mach 20. Still working on center of gravity issues but it’s coming not Secret anymore. Probably to intimidate adversaries. Too many people calling in UFO sightings on flying Vs and triangles.
