COOKEVILLE, Tenn. — A Tennessee Tech University student was placed in isolation after presenting mild symptoms of the Coronavirus.
In a social media post released Thursday evening, the university said the student had recently traveled overseas and met the criteria for testing. The student was placed in isolation as a precautionary measure.
The school said they have not confirmed that the student has the Coronavirus.
Tennessee Tech and the doctors at the school have been in constant contact with both the Tennessee Department of Health and the U.S. Centers for Disease Control.
Tennessee Tech is located in Cookeville, which is about an hour east of Nashville.

My best friend is over roaming the countryside in China right now. He will be back in a week and we are planning on dropping a bunch of tall firs. Fortunately, I have already got a cough so I probably won’t be blaming him if it gets worse after he gets back.

Every city with a university or tech-heavy economy is at risk. There are over 350,000 Chinese in our country and they travel.
Usually Tennessee is a latecomer in these epidemics
But then travel from an endemic area will do that
Thank you, but she is a woodworking major and wants to be a master woodworking craftsman and takes very few classes that Chinese nationals would take.
I just read where they are “monitoring” 63 other possible cases here. Wonderful, just wonderful.
Tennessee Tech has a very good engineering program that attracts students from all over the world. I attended class with Persians, Vietnamese, and Chinese students. He was likely an engineering major.
I think most of those being monitored are because they were thought to be exposed to an infected individual.
The hysteria here is overwhelming. What is marching across the country and killing people is influenza like it does every year.
They should all be in the Senate Gallery for the Impeachment show so Congress can judge the results of their Policies and Actions.
Does she ever eat in the snackbars or cafeterias? Does she ever use the restrooms in other parts of the campus?
Do any of her classmates also take courses or use facilities Chinese students would take or use?
Did you really think things through before posting that or are you just trying to deceive yourself?
