Actually, they were watching her because she had apparently been following and spying on other diplomatic and US personnel. I think it’s reasonable to ask why an ambassador needs to spy on what are theoretically her own countrymen.

Trump is being impeached for sticking his nose into corruption that tried to prevent his election in 2016 as well as politically connected US citizens making a lot of money through foreign aid paid for by the US taxpayer and future generations of American citizens (Debt policy).

They know if Trump gets a second term with Barr then all these investigations will wrap up and they will be outed. They are desperate because of this. They need a dem in there to stop all the investigations ASAP. Trump will be able to do what he wants with investigating these crooks so Schiff better watch out.
