Citizens of the Greek Islands are protesting against migrant camps amid a looming humanitarian disaster. On Wednesday, residents of Lesbos, Chios and Samos took to the streets to demand the government end the influx of migrants from the Middle East.
Protesters said overcrowding in camps poses the threats of crime, violence and disease pandemics. At least 44,000 migrants arrived in the Greek Islands by boat over the past year as Turkey threatened to flood Europe with Syrian refugees.
Demonstrators said Greece must close its maritime borders and send the migrants back.
The migrants should go. We are not racists, simply the situation on the island is out of control, 100 percent. You can see it by yourselves what is happening. They are coming and they are not leaving. Open the borders so they can go to Italy, Bulgaria, Germany. And close our borders because we cannot take any more. Panagiotis Foudouris, protester
Greek officials said they cannot move migrants to the mainland because the lack of vetting procedures may pose a security threat.
I agree with the citizens of the island of Lesbos! I, uh...might join them in solidarity! Political reasons, of course...
LOL! You wish!
You’re right, it was a good try though :-)
Qaddafi said this would happen with “refugees” who go through Libya. Hillary Clinton decided to assassinate him by NATO and Obama’s and McCain’s ISIS. Turkey knows how to win a war without firing a shot by demographics. Europe is dead man walking as a continent.

Agreed. Not happy about it, but agreed. :(
bttt
I’ve been through Samos a couple of times.
It was pretty quiet then - early 2000s.
You could take a ferry from Mikonos to Samos, then take a little boat over to Kusadasi on the Turkish coast.
‘course, they nicked you pretty good for the little boat.
But it beat taking the train to Istanbul, then come back down through Turkey on a bus - I’d take you a couple of days.
Then again, the Greek ferry’s were so screwed up - the two times I did it I got stuck overnight on Mikonos - expensive hotel room the first time, slept on the dock the second time (the ferry was supposed to come in at 11pm - got there around 7am).
When the Ottoman Empire was dismantled after WW1, they lost all the islands off their coast. All the Turks in Greece were kicked out and sent back to Turkey, so Turkey kicked all the Greeks out and sent them back to Greece.
No love lost between those two countries, let me tell ya.
Nope. Ain't touching it.

The native populations are seeing the results of refusing to breed; we are as well. The same fate is befalling Americans, and they don’t seem to realize it. This isn’t something that will happen at some point down the road; it is here, and the governments responsible for enforcing the law are openly refusing to do so. Never mind “sanctuary cities”; we now have sanctuary STATES (I live in one - NJ).
What amazes me is that the ‘Tough Guys’ in Jersey would give up hard-won territory so easily!
Of course, there’s always the possibility that they’re profiting from illegals, ala Pelosi. *SPIT*
“Tough guys” employ them in their pizzerias, and plenty of Americans profit from hiring them under the table and renting illegal apartments to them. While Westerners fantasize about a “cashless society”, NJ (and I believe now NY) has recently passed a law forcing businesses to accept cash - they know untaxed illegals do business no other way, and they will only grow as a percentage of the population as Americans flee the area..
