There has to be a cost for such treachery

Collins is a very principled and conservative man. Which vote was his (with the Dims)?

OK, OK, I need coffee. SUSAN Collins, not Doug, who is in the House.

Bill Clinton received fifty votes for conviction on Article Two. It’s hilarious that after decades of leftists and the mainstream media talking about that impeachment having been a “sham,” that it’s extremely likely Donald Trump will be acquitted by a larger margin in the Senate.

The cost is Maine’s independents cast a vote for her because she bucked the party line. Wait - that’s a benefit, not a cost. The political reality, for now, is that the Northeastern states are moving left, and GOP pols must follow to some extent or become former officeholders.

Collins cost ought to be commensurate with the damage her vote caused.

Which was none.

The only exception to the leftward drift of the region is Pennsylvania, because the Rust Belt and Appalachian areas of that state are moving away from the Democrats even though metro Philadelphia is moving to the left.

Not sure if she voted for witnesses. I think it was for certain documents.

Collins voted with the democrats once.

Wonder why she cast that single vote with the demonRATs?

Vote one way for 12 hours and then switch one vote late at night, what was the reason?

Not surprising.

Here's the summary of what was being voted on:

On the Motion to Table S.Amdt. 1293: Motion to Table Schumer Amdt. No. 1293; To allow additional time to file responses to motions.

It was for the time thing....They went from 2 days to 3 days. I think Collins discussed it at lunch...so it was only about time...not witnesses or documents.
