A Southern California company is hoping to bring its dorm-like facility for adults to San Diego for locals looking to save cash and enjoy communal living.
Los Angeles-based Haven Coliving has almost a hundred people who are sharing the same space and the same mindset.

dandy brave new world
Aren’t people living like that in San Francisco? It’s a high end homeless shelter.
Isn’t this basically HOSTEL style living?? Been around for a long time....
Enjoy communal living in modern civilian barracks...One mans floor is another man’s ceiling. Gak~
Communal. ...haha...communist
Looking into my crystal ball I see many STDs in this community, and bowls of condoms everywhere. It looks like it would turn into a meat market really quickly.
It would be curious to see if you could get a group of one-hundred paranoid schizophrenics to house together in one unit...in harmony.
Just making a guess here....if you do achieve success, then it’s probably a group of one-hundred meth users, and all geared toward one simple goal...getting money to achieve tomorrow’s meth requirement.
I suspect only 100 potheads could pull off the communal living. It would be so mellow - nobody would be bothered about a thing. Doritos and condoms for everyone!
Phewww, no thanks!
Sounds like a jail without bars, at best.
Friend of mine was anxious to move into a “Senior gated community” in Florida.
I could not understand why, to me it seemed like a prison sans the judges sentence.
To each their own, just do not try to force me into participating in your Nirvana.
that mindset doesn’t appear to be working too well in dc during impeachment proceedings...
Beats having them on the streets.
I’ll wager their communal living costs more per month than what I spend per month to live in my own home.
sharing the same space and the same minds....meth
except gated communities keep the bad guys out and one is free to leave at anytime.
Sounds like assisted living. Or a convent.
Tried this in 1972. Didn’t like it much and the only thing that kept us from killing each other was our fear and hatred of the Common Enemy... Drill Sergeants.
Sounds good to me.
San Diego has had this for years. It’s called the Marine Corps Recruit Depot, but it’s definitely not for everyone.
Start out like utopia and end up like the women's group at a failing church gossip, backstabbing, wild accusations...
Just because you're not paranoid doesn't mean no one's after you.
