It’s alright - I chose to live in the belly of the beast. It was once a fairly decent place to live...
I’d do the same, but I have to convince my wife. At this time, the best I might be able to do is split time between two states, at this time. I’d like to go to a constitutional carry state.
I don’t even know how many thousands of dollars worth of firearms related equipment that we would likely have to dispose of if this law is passed.
That’s barrel length. My reading said 30 “ overal. I thought they might be going after Chipmunks, and people teaching kids to shoot, but Chipmunks go 30.5 inches.
Generally speaking, earthquake events shove the west upward, and further west, hence the Coast and Cascade ranges. Sorry.
Grandfathering is allowed. However, there would be no new sales.
” I know Democrats there that will not go along with the program.”
Someday, pogram.
If Heller tells us anything, it is that firearms cannot be
categorically prohibited just because they are dangerous.
District of Columbia v. Heller
Some have made the argument, bordering on the frivolous, that only those arms in existence in the 18th century are protected by the Second Amendment.
We do not interpret constitutional rights that way.
Just as the First Amendment protects modern forms of communications, and the Fourth Amendment applies to modern forms of search, the Second Amendment extends, prima facie, to all instruments that constitute bearable arms, even those that were not in existence at the time of the founding.
In the case the existing firearms weren’t grandfathered, you would comply? I sure as hell wouldn’t.
“It was not like this when we were kids.”
Actually been only modest change in eastern WA, where I have been all along. The change that has occurred is often due to new federal rules and laws, or confirmed by such (i.e. gay marriage).
feed the rich and all is good....
I read reports, no idea if they were true or not, that after California banned the 50 Cal rifles Barrett Pointed out that none of them had ever been used in the commission of a crime, and that numerous law-enforcement agencies in California owned the 50 Cal rifles. And since they were going to be illegal legal for civilians, they would no longer provide parts or any support for any law-enforcement agencies that owned them.
It was a stupid law by a stupid governor. Arnie the RAT was virtue signaling to liberals. I was living in kali at the time. When arnie was running for gov I remember seeing an interview where he said one thing he was going to do was to close the gun show loophole. That idiot didn't even know there was no gun show "loophole" in kali. All gun sales already had to go through an FFL.
And Barret already makes a .468 California Rifle, IIRC.
