Hospitals across the United States are said to have granted Microsoft, Amazon and IBM access to sensitive identifiable medical records.
The tech giants are each working with medical centers in Washington, Massachusetts and Minnesota.
Google will now have access to patients' test results, diagnoses and hospitalizations to give them a full digital health history. Neither doctors nor the patients in the 21 states where it will be used had been told about it.
About 150 Google employees and 100 Ascension staff collaborated on Project Nightingale, transferring the personal data of more than 50 million Americans to Google.

i knew this was coming back a few years ago when they began putting everyone’s medical info into a digital database— one of my docs quit his practice to go work on the project- that was right around the time docs also began asking people whether or not they had guns in the house-, and later, the obama administration started laying the groundwork for gun confiscation by pushing the idea that people on, or had ever been on, any type of mind drug like antidepressants, anti-psychotic drugs etc were not stable enough to own guns
Apparently this whole crap has been i nthe works for a long time now

they will tell us its for our own good of course ..
If you are trading AMZN news came out they filed for an international trademark for a pharmacy
It depends on how it’s done.
These companies are providing cloud services and hosting software and databases in the cloud for their customers.
If they are signing third party data agreements to provide data processing services and to limit data access and respect HIPPA laws, then they are like any other data processing vendor that works with hospitals.
If they are using the data but the data has been modified so that it’s no longer patient identifiable, then that’s acceptable use under HIPPA.
If they are using the data to create a health or consumer marketing profile on individuals, then that would be a huge violation of HIPPA.
I think the lead up stared with Dubya, Porkulus, and EMRs.
HIPPA has nothing to do with you: its all about them. They carved out exceptions for themselves in every conceivable way. They just won’t talk to your wife or family without a lot of hassle.
Besides, don’t you realize that you do NOT own your medical records? They do.
