Sorry, I won’t be “trusting” McConnell. Sadly, he and the rest of the coup enabling GOP Senate have not earned that trust.
If the Democrats had gotten it their way, it would have been a three ring circus like the Kavanaugh hearings.
Its in the Democrats interests to drag it out as long as possible.
This is all about politics and the truth or the lack of it has nothing to do with it.
It’s amazing the vacuum they are arguing in when the ties on the side of key Democrat players to the Ukraine are inescapable.

Lev Parnas isn’t saying anything new - it’s the same basic allegation of quid pro quo - an allegation so unfounded that it didn’t even make it into either of the articles.
The real story here is that the Democrats are holding the Senate hostage and the senators are getting visibly cranky. They are not endearing themselves to these senators with this BS.
I think what people forget is that Romney and the other three weak links are still Republicans - the more nakedly partisan this gets, the less likely these “weak links” are to cross party lines and vote with the Democrats.
This is so obviously an attack by Democrats on the Republican Party as a whole. Even if they hate Trump’s guts they were elected by Republican voters who won’t understand why they would take the Democrats’ side in a stark battle between the parties.
Chances of witnesses being called later - the odds are against it. Chuck U tried six times today to force Republicans to agree.

Witnesses have no right to privacy in a trial. Schiffhead trying to have it both ways.

This seems to be following Kavanaugh template. Dem hysterics to start. Then it is the same road map we will have a GOP cave on impeachment witnesses. Then more theatrics. Then the vote to acquit. Hopefully, the election following this circus will have a better outcome than the midterms.
