Schiff & Nadler probably couldn’t find the gender neutered restroom.

Nah, they came prepared. They’re both wearing Xtra-fill Depends, but even those can only take so much of what the Democrat House managers have been off loading. They went looking for a dumpster they hadn’t used at an earlier break. . .

“Under the rules of the sale, the Javelin missiles have to be stored in western Ukraine, which is far from the frontlines of the ongoing conflict in the eastern part of the country (the Donbas region) against pro-Russia separatists. In short, the Javelins were essentially provided to Ukraine under the condition that they not be used in the conflict zone.” [which happens to be in the east side of Ukraine]

Business Insider — totally fake news. Several citations even mentioned in the July 25th President to President phone call, and also in today’s testimony gives the lie to this. Zelenskyy "we are just about ready to order more Javelins" which implies the current inventory has been depleted, and unless they’re using the casings for sewer pipes, they’ve been fired in the war zone, and, quoting the Ukrainian Defense Minister "Yes, the Javelins kill tanks. The Russians are scared of them!" implying they’ve been used to good effect, again in the war zone.

Storing inventory out of the combat zone is wise, concluding that means they don’t get moved to combat ares and used is stupid.

On C-Span during the break the C-Span guy said that Senators are allowed to have water or milk.

Historical note. The rule established in the 1868 Andrew Johnson impeachment allowed only water. In !958, during a judicial impeachment, Senator Everett Dirksen, then the "old man" of the Senate, was heard to opine he’d sure like to have a tall glass of milk. So, a hiatus in the proceedings were immediately called, and on a 95 to one abstention (Dirksen), there being on 96 Senators in 1958, the rules were changed to allow either water or "a tall glass of milk" during impeachment" trials.

Heard earlier that the milk thing is from Senator in the 60’s.
He asked for a glass of milk & rules didn’t prohibit so now it’s an allowed tradition.
My drink of choice during this circus definitely wouldn’t be milk.

See my post above.

The hot war is over in Ukraine. The Ukrainians aren’t interested in using the Javelins now on the battlefield. The great danger now is they would be stolen through negligence or corruption. The west is just more secure than the east. All the big soccer matches are in the west, etc.

As I understand it, they’re under a current ceasefire since March. . . which was why now was a good time to reconsider military aid levels. It’s also apparently why the previous Ukraine President failed to be re-elected. His negotiations left the Russians with a superior position to get the ceasefire. He was looked at as pro-Russian by many in Ukraine.

nads seems to think that attacking senators as accomplices in an imaginary coverup is a good way to gain their support.

that seems an odd strategy.

Only if your goal is winning an impeachment verdict from the Senate. What if it’s winning the next election by smearing the senators as part of the cover-up in a crime?

Why would the Senate vote to have witnesses Schiff and Nadler didn’t have the balls to subpoena?

And why do these idiots ASSUME those witnesses will support their lies?

These so-called "lawyers" have forgotten their basic "Court Testimony 101" course rule: "Never ask a question from a witness in court for which you don’t already know the answer!"

They are asking the Senators to go fishing with them into hundreds of thousands of documents, hoping to pull out a treasure chest, and they want to be asking questions of new witnesses where they have no clue what responses they’re going to get!

It’s absurd on its bare face.

Yep, my only exposure to the DNC talking points being pushed 24-7 is at the office where company computers default to MSN on the landing page when a browser is launched.

Such yellow journalism.

So many hours of b*llsh*t. I had to turn it off earlier when I heard Schiff say this was “the essence of what the president communicated” in his call with Ukraine's Zelensky.

______________

"It reads like a classic organized crime shakedown. Shorn of its rambling character and in not so many words, this is the essence of what the president communicates. We’ve been very good to your country, very good. No other country has done as much as we have. But you know what? I don’t see much reciprocity here. I hear what you want. I have a favor I want from you though. And I’m going to say this only seven times so you better listen good.

I want you to make up dirt on my political opponent, understand. Lots of it. On this and on that. I’m going to put you in touch with people, not just any people, I am going to put you in touch with the attorney general of the United States, my Attorney General Bill Barr. He’s got the whole weight of the American law enforcement behind him. And I’m going to put you in touch with Rudy. You’re going to love him. Trust me.

You know what I’m asking. And so I’m only going to say this a few more times. In a few more ways. And by the way, don’t call me again. I’ll call you when you’ve done what I asked.

This is in sum and character what the president was trying to communicate with the president of Ukraine. It would be funny if it wasn’t such a graphic betrayal of the president’s oath of office. But as it does represent a real betrayal, there’s nothing the president says here that is in America’s interest after all."

There was at least one case of a Ukrainian army ammo dump mysteriously blowning up. The stored in the west thing is a nothing burger.

Let’s not pretend this is anything other than an illegal unconstitutional coup attempt by Dems because they lost, it’s that simple. If we had an honest media we would be scorning their entire party for this shameful attack on our constitution.

Trump defense team needs to show video with context.

I don't disagree. I want them to be short, but it doesn't mean they cannot use props to make the low info voters watching understand this disgrace.

I haven’t watched a minute of the Witch Hunt. I honestly can’t stand looking at Schiff & Nadler, never mind taking the time to listen to them. I’ll be voting for Donald Trump on 11/3/20, and absolutely nothing can change my mind.

What, no tea or coffee or other caffeinated beverages?

I think they are mainly wanting to establish that there is no Whiskey or other intoxicating substances.

Yes, everything you said is common sense. The Dems are hoping that most people don't think about it and just memorize their memes.

yet, according to the House Democrat impeachment narrative, President Trump really wasn’t even looking for a real investigation and would have been satisfied with just the announcement that Ukraine was investigating Hunter Biden and Joe Biden!

Yeah, the Nadler theory. Nadler mumbled that a few times last night as he called the Senate treacherous. I guess Nadler can't decide whether he needs to stick with that ridiculous theory or go with "Republicans doing the bidding of Putin"
