Can Schiff be brought up on perjury charges if he is caught in a lie? Or, is he free to lie and lie ( otherwise, known as speaking for him) I wonder about this as well. Does the Constitutional protection provided when a Congressman speaks from the House or Senate cover a Representative in the Senate? If the Dems can continue to lie freely, then this impeachment is even more of a farce than I already considered it.

That thought is reciprocated, but I would settle for Schiff's eyes to finish their trip and pop fully out onto the Senate floor. He must have some health problem.

This isn’t a farm bill being debated. We must not allow McConnell to fob his failures to whip votes off onto Collins. She isn’t majority leader. He is. If he can’t whip votes in support of POTUS and the 60 million people who voted for him he needs to go. This is a total leadership failure by McConnell and a failure of the GOP to support POTUS on the evidence rules.

Constitution requires the Chief Justice to preside. He’s not a decision maker. The Senate for better or worse is in charge as per the Constitution.
