Rep. Adam Schiff risks having to answer tough questions about his involvement with a White House whistleblower by serving as a prosecutor at President Trump’s trial in the Senate, where senators may be able to hit him with questions about the House case.
As the trial got underway Thursday with the swearing-in of Chief Justice John G. Roberts Jr., senators and other figures in the trial, Senate Republicans considered whether Mr. Schiff’s role as a House impeachment manager could put him in the hot seat without calling him as a witness.

Mr. Schiff, chairman of the Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, then spearheaded the impeachment inquiry, repeatedly denied knowledge of the whistleblower, and worked to keep secret the whistleblower’s identity during the inquiry.

Under the Clinton rules, senators will then be able to submit written questions to the House impeachment managers and the president’s legal team through Justice Roberts.
“Anything could come up. There is no limitation on subject matter from my understanding,” said Sen. Mike Braun, Indiana Republican.

Side bar item: Ya know folks...the four Democrat Senators that are still running for 2020 POTUS, simply have to recuse themselves from the Senate, and they will immediately be free to campaign all they want, wherever they want.
And......I have received 33 e-mails confirming what my friend noted to me relative to the IOWA Democrat Caucus. Yes, many IOWA Democrats will not be participating in the IOWA caucus, in much they same way they have not turned out in attending Democrat Campaign rallies. Some believe the Democrat Party will die politically at the conclusion of the IOWA caucus for voter lack of interest in their massively flawed candidates running for 2020 POTUS.....We shall see very soon!!!

If they recuse, their base will be upset.
If they don’t recuse, they can’t campaign.
And Joe McCarthy said that’s why Pelosi delayed, was to take Sander’s off the campaign and give advantage to Biden.

Yesterday caught a bit of Schiff reading the impeachment charges. Apparently his aspiration, if not fantasy, to become a screenwriter includes watching old movies for inspiration. His reading of the charge sheet totally brought to immediate mind the “Animal House” scene where the “Douglas C. Neidermeyer” character solemnly reads suspension charges against the fraternity house. Must say, Neidermeyer brought more gravitas to the occasion. One can only hope that Schiff further emulates Niedermeyer in leading to take the hill.

Wouldn’t surprise me. The Dem machine is doing everything it can to detonate Bernie’s campaign and prop up Biden, their consulate bought-and-paid-for guy.

The senate should keep the trial going through October...6 days a week in session...leaves only one day a week to campaign. They either get out of impeachment, or campaign via ads.

That just means the Dims with the best local support will draw up the state party platform and select their favorites for delegates and president. From that, expect surprising support for dark horses, such as Tulsi! and The gay caballero.
And now Warren has launched an identity politics attack on Sanders claiming he said a woman couldn’t win.
But nobody believes Warren because of her previous lies.
And Tulsi said she had a similar conversation and Sanders was completely supportive.
Question #1:
“Mr. Schiff, have you ended your sexual relationship with the so-called whistle blower?”
Or:
“Mr. Schiff, when did you stop beating your whistle blower?”
Thats because Bernie is just an old horn dog...
