The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Thursday shows that 51% of Likely U.S. Voters approve of President Trump’s job performance. Forty-seven percent (47%) disapprove.

The latest figures include 40% who Strongly Approve of the job Trump is doing and 39% who Strongly Disapprove. This gives him a Presidential Approval Index rating of +1.

51% approval and a +1 approval index rating on the day they start the actions in the senate for trial to remove him from office. Not a good idea. One if by land and two if by sea.

Approving means you DEFINITELY are voting for him. If you show up to vote.

Not approving doesn’t mean not voting for him.

10 percent moderately disapprove, I’m assuming.

Some of that 10 percent will go to Trump.

I started answering “Disapprove” of Bush early on but I still voted for him.

It is one thing to disapprove of a president's performance against a fictionalized ideal and quite another when the alternative is an actual, fallible human being.

Last night's Democrat debate displayed human beings who simply do not present a desirable alternative.

When the voter goes into the polling booth he is confronted not with the ideal but with a choice between two candidates. First, he must be willing to venture into the unknown when he chooses to vote against the incumbent. Second, he must believe that that risk that comes with the unknown is worth taking because the comparison weighs so much in the challenger's favor.

Trump is at 51% against no specific challenger but against the ideal. Put one of these bozos on the ballot against him and the intelligent choice becomes compelling.

I lied the first time online 3 plus years ago.

Don’t ask me why.

It was the first and last time I said I wasn’t voting for Trump.

so yeah, I’d say a percentage are still afraid to admit it.

It’s idiotic, but we’re only human and sometimes peer pressure even gets to adults :)
