it ain’t just “liberal reporters” ...its “liberals” in general-most of whose arguments fail any reasonable scrutiny-and they run off and holler racism or some such when faced with that reality

It's not insecurity per se. The root cause is guilt. For instance, when someone knows (consciously or subconsciously) they did something wrong to their car (like bounce over a few curbs) they will be the ones angrily demanding the mechanic hurry up and fix it. Now!
They hope anger will lead to wiping out the guilt but it never will. Only facing and dealing with the guilt will remove it. Insecurity is just another symptom.

That’s why Trump’s throw-away line of: “hey Russia, help us find Hillary’s 5,000 emails...” is used as “proof” of Russian collusion.

I had a conversation with my late mother 25 years ago, about Rush Limbaugh stirring her and so many millions up into a tizzy. I told her the thing that drives people crazy is his certainty. Post modern culture hates certainty.

They especially can't take a Trump joke.
When Trump says something that is obviously funny, they will look around and say "did he say something funny?"
Trump is not funny at all to them, because they are purposely denying him a sense of humor.
To deny someone a sense of humor, is to deny him a sense of humanity.

They have no morals, no conscious, no sense of guilt or justice (aside for themselves).
Ridicule & mockery is the way slay the beast.
