By that standard, Blackburn and all the other 99 senators should recuse themselves.

They were already involved in the impeachment vote. Isn’t that exactly what they accused Trump of doing, interfering with a political opponent.
Recuse them from the vote but make them participate in the trial.
Me too, but in my version any senator who was running for prez against Trump, prior to or still, would be recused from the vote.
I agree, and the GOP should crow loud and long about it to make clear to the American public the hypocrisy of going after Trump over Ukraine, while the Rat presidential candidates effectively do the very same thing for which they accuse Trump. . . the Rats are ALWAYS guilty of the accusations that the level against others. They are evil, pathetic and sick.
