Bernie Sanders (interview with New York Times editorial board)
New York Times ^ | January 13, 2020

...

Kathleen Kingsbury: Quite a few things. Can you walk us through what the first 100 days will look like, though? [...]

Sanders: It’s going to be a busy hundred days. In fact, I’ve made enough promises that I think I’m going to be up all night on my first day. I’m going to go to bed at five in the morning. I think the most important point aside from the legislation, which I’ll get into, is to convince the American people that in fact we can have a government that represents working people and not just the 1 percent. And that will mean, by the way, that I suspect we’re going to use Air Force One quite a bit. We’re going to get around the country, we’re not just going to be in the Oval Office.

But obviously the legislation that we’re going to introduce will deal with climate change, which I consider to be an enormous threat, not only to this country, but to the planet. We’ll introduce Medicare for All legislation in the first week because I think it’s high time the United States join the rest of the industrialized world in guaranteeing health care to all people. We will be introducing legislation not dissimilar to what passed the House raising the minimum wage to a living wage.In July, the House of Representatives passed legislation that would raise the federal minimum wage to $15 an hour by October 2025, raising the wages of as many as 27 million Americans. Though Senator Sanders wrote a letter calling on Mitch McConnell, the Senate majority leader, to bring the Raise the Wage Act for a vote, it has languished. We’ll be introducing legislation to rebuild a crumbling infrastructure, making public colleges and universities tuition free.

I'd rather not think about Bernie Sanders, but he may well be the next Democratic nominee. When Sanders is asked how he will get all his plans through the senate, he says he will become "organizer in chief".

There’s movement amongst the old guard to leave Biden behind. He’s senile and his corruption grows more evident every day. If they move towards Bernie, it’s basically a concession. Lose the election, save the secrets.

Original quote from the article:

I think the most important point aside from the legislation, which I’ll get into, is to convince the American people that in fact we can have a government that represents working people and not just the 1 percent.

This is an obvious failure by the editor of the article. Since Bernie (we are told) never lies, the quote should have read:

“ . I think the most important point aside from the legislation, which I’ll get into, is to convince the American people that in fact we can have a government that represents working people and not just the 1 percent that me and my closest friends, colleagues and financial supporters belong to”.

What a ridiculous imbecile.
Did Kathleen ask him about this?

……………………………………………………………….........……………………

$7.50 wage increase times 27,000,000 equals 1 hour, times an 8 hour work day, times a 250 work day year equals an economic catastrophe. I don’t even have to do the math to know that Bernie is an idiot.

Heh... right on the nose. I'm stealin' it, but I think he'll drop dead before the convention, ridding the world and it's people of a complete a-hole.
The woman in the right foreground looks like she's asking the other woman, do you smell that?

Hey SunkenCiv!  You may be right.  If the old Commie is going to die, best he die before the convention.  Otherwise, the MSM and Dems will blame President Trump for killing him much like they blamed him for the airliner the Iranians shot down.

We live in crazy times where the opposition have become a bunch of screamin' baby chimps.

No doubt, but they'll be greatly relieved (assuming they aren't also involved in his demise) when he croaks. Hitlery wasn't the only one who didn't want him leading the ticket in 2016. He'd have given her a boost if she'd picked him for VP, but she wouldn't even do that. Not sure he'd have accepted it anyway.
