The Dallas Police Department is investigating the shooting death of an alleged armed robber that occurred late last night in west Dallas.
Officials say a homeowner was hosting a social gathering in the front yard of a house when three suspects robbed the party at gunpoint. One of the individuals at the party, who police say is a licensed handgun carrier, produced his weapon and shot one of the robbers.
One robber was shot and two others fled the scene. The injured robber was transported to the hospital and pronounced deceased.

Sounds like a classy neighborhood.
So that’s twice in Texas (that made the news). Likely many more that didn’t because no shots needed to get fired.
And even more that never start because some folks are smart enough not to even try.
When seconds count, the police are just a few minutes away.
Especially their float lines in the rivers and streams - messing with them will get you shot faster than attacking a family member...(tongue-in-cheek)...

Barbeque gun or concealed? I wouldn’t think anyone would be dumb enough to try robbing a party with open carry, but, then, I wouldn’t think anyone was dumb enough to rob a party in Texas.
