American consumers understand that most forms of popular culture have become nothing more than commercials for the Democrat party. Movies, television, and music focus less on entertainment than on influencing the next election. They have gone beyond mere leftist bias. Artists, writers, and musicians subordinate their craft in order to present one endless Democrat commercial.
This trend is equally egregious in the case of books. In modern bookstores, the Democrat commercial spreads far beyond the "politics" shelf. "The gardening books advocate hiring illegal aliens. The sports books reminisce about Vietnam."
A telling example of this trend appears in a 2018 book about the design of General Motors automobiles from the 1920s through the 1950s. Fins, by William Knoedelseder, appears to be credible, informative, and interesting until it reaches Chapter 9. In Chapter 9, the author apparently loses interest in classic cars and decides, instead, to tell the reader that President Trump is just like Hitler. He does not actually mention Trump. He does not discuss Trump's policies. He does not present actual evidence. The author simply discusses the pre-war automobile industry in Germany in terms of Hitler's plan to "make Germany great again." He even titles the chapter "Helping Make Germany Great Again." A seemingly interesting historic work was thus converted into yet another Democrat campaign commercial.

I wish I had a nickel for every movie with an evil corporation.
It really is miraculous we ever win. Every public facing entity is infested with leftists. They chose they targets well And the messaging never rests. Grinding at our core values away day by day. An insidious cancer trying to devouring us.
Just looking at the reviews on the front or back cover of a book and putting back any with praise from "Foner" or "Zinn" isn't suffucient anymore.
Amazing hypocrisy of the elites.
Take the Trojan Horse Greta Thunberg.
She blames the patriarchy for climate change, when we all know the biggest benefactor of consumerism is women who buy new clothes every fashion change and season change combined.
The elites attack women and destroy women every day, and they put as a cover a manipulated little girl who dices men.
Never have I seen so many women in the military to support a boyfriend in college. This society is a disgrace and enslaving women while showing a posture of doing it in their name and against men.
The brainwash has to be constant or the whole scheme and scandal will fall appart.
Who knew there were so many lesbians and queers in the PEI countryside? Anne became a social justice warrior instead of an innocent little girl. And for some odd reason the series lost all its appeal to me.
Good article. Thanks, Kaslin.
Democrats are Democrats first.
Being an American is way down on their list.
Remember that when dealing with them.
C.S. Lewis once wrote that for every newly published book you read you should read at least two old books. I think his point was that often, a new book over the long run will fail to ever become a classic. Reading an old, classic book will be much more edifying.
Publishers get big kickbacks from democrats... they’re paid to ‘not print’ large ‘buys’... that way when some democrat hires a ghost writer to put out fluff - the large buys from middle east thugs doesn’t show up in secondary markets.
SPOKESATHLETE of the year 2019. The rest of you hard-workers...KEEP YOUR MOUTHS SHUT.
The gardening books advocate hiring illegal alien.
Lawn rangers mow lawn scope house return when your gone.
It started in the 70’s where tons of TV shows had the battle between the evil, 50ish, overweight, white business man and the plucky, uneducated, but street wise, 30 something, Black, unwed mother who always won to the cheers of the assembled masses. Then in the 80’s it was the stupid white dad being schooled by his obnoxious kids or his snarky wife. And of course in any show with a homosexual character they were either harmlessly cute or the only sane one in the room. And finally it moved into the 2000 with the disgusting ADT commercials where the wife took control during the break in while the dad cowered in the corner with the kids.
My wife is an avid reader and she has been remarking for at least a decade and a half about how even mystery novels has to include a lesbian couple or a reference to AGW and now transgendered characters. So yes it never ends,
Great article, Thanks!
And, quite a coincidence as the Jerusalem Thread today was all about the propaganda embedded in best-sellers:

I have to agree. Great literature of the past is the only refuge, and even then, only the books, for the movies will twist them beyond recognition. And of course, the great literature of the past is difficult to read. The average American reads at the 6th grade level.
I have often responded to posters on this forum when they post about a film Its just a movie. Its never just a movie. Even lowly comedies have a message, and its usually from the left.
I am the same way. I mainly read nonfiction and usually look for older books that "tell it like it was" without modern PC sentiments. I seldom read novels, but I still read the Daniel Silva books. Even though Silva writes about Israeli secret agents from the correct point of view (they are the good guys), he cannot help getting in a few digs at Trump.
Conservatives have not been exactly angelic in the past. I recall the lead guitarist for our bar band at UC Berkeley on 1964, trying to enlist me in Young Americans for Freedom, YAF, Barry Goldwater’s youth brigades, and then lecturing me on the evils of race miscegenation. The DAR, the JBS and YAF were, in fact, racist back then. Face it. And it was the high school jocks 10 years later beating up my punk playpals. Not one of those bullying sociopaths voted Democrat.
The massive leftist infiltration of American Culture was a reaction to the fist poundings from redneck crackers through the 1960’s. Man up and take the payback, meanwhile learning a new trick about empathy, fairness, bullying and the rest of that “might makes right” social Darwinist claptrap. Times change, tick tock. It is potentially no longer a dog eat dog world where scarcity dictates a struggle for survival. It is no longer a 12th century feudal mindset defining the interpretive framework with which we address the future. Technology creates surplus and technology creates democracy, two axioms you want to self-remember, Mr. George. Either understand the nature of “potential” which pulls our world into the future, or grow small in the rear view mirror.
I’m an Abraham Lincoln-Teddy Roosevelt Republican and so is my buddy Donald.
