"When I was convinced that this had happened, I really wished I had died, wishing I had died and not witnessed such an incident," the Army Corps Commander said.

According to Fars Defense News Agency, Commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Air Force Commander Amir Ali Hajizadeh, at a news conference to describe the size of the incident, targeted the Ukrainian airliner: I heard about the missile strikes against US bases, and when I realized that this had happened, I really wished I had died, wishing I hadn't seen such an accident.

He added: "We have sacrificed our lives for the people and today we are trading our honor with God the Almighty and in these difficult conditions we are willing to explain.

Hajizadeh continued: First, I would like to say that the investigation will be carried out by the higher headquarters and the judiciary and the information will be completed, and at the beginning I will say that our neck is thinner than the hair and everyone is responsible for it. We accept, and whatever decision the authorities make, we abide by it.

In detailing the incident, the commander of the Iraqi Air Force said: "You know that for more than a week the conditions and the inflammation of the region and the likelihood of conflict in the past and even the early years of the revolution have not been witnessed. Our armed forces were 100 percent ready.

He continued: The Americans had threatened to strike eight points in Iran, so all the units of defense and defense were on alert for 2 percent, and naturally, Tehran-based defense systems were in the same condition, as specified in the surveys. It has been reported that on the night of the incident and even at sunset, the state of war preparedness and the highest level of alert are communicated to the systems by the integrated defense network, in which case a number of defensive systems have been added to the Tehran air defense ring.

Hajizadeh emphasized: The first system to be deployed in the western part of Tehran, by which this incident took place, will be deployed around Bidgneh and in several stages this alert will be communicated to the entire network, with the highest level of alert being 2-1 .

The air force commander said that at various stages these systems, including the one involved, were announced by the integrated network that cruise missiles had been fired into the country, pointing out: At one or two stages, these missiles were emphasized. The cruise is on track and ready, meaning the systems are at the highest level ready, and just press the chassis, this system involved rocket fire and we anticipate an interview with the operator himself, the operator says. We have repeatedly requested that the airspace of the country be emptied of flight Clear sky Tlaha, which in normal conditions is 3-3 because of some considerations for loved ones do not, at the moment the system at a distance of 19 km from the target cruise detected faces.

He said the air defense system was deployed at 9pm and the plane, after taking off based on information given to the operator that it was in a state of war and that the cruise was fired, had identified the target as a cruise, that he was obliged to do so. Had been in this situation to call and get confirmation and his spelling was from that point, but apparently his communication system was failing and unable to communicate which may have been due to network jamming or networking systems and only a 10 second chance. He has to make decisions that lead to his bad decision making.

Sardar Hajizadeh emphasized: Before the announcement of the armed forces, the civil aviation authorities announced that this was not a missile strike and were under investigation; firstly they acted on their own knowledge and were not aware of the incident. When I was informed on Wednesday morning, I was immediately informed by the authorities that they had told me that we had hit a target, but that my sympathy with the matter had left me in doubt.

The commander of the air force continued: "I left for Tehran immediately, but in the middle of the way I informed the authorities that this had happened and that I was very likely to have struck our own aircraft. When I arrived in Tehran, I saw that the General Staff of the Armed Forces had formed a disaster investigation team and that the whole team and the people involved had been completely quarantined and we were not allowed to report.

He emphasized: The delay in information was not because someone wanted to conceal something, but the routine was that the staff had to investigate after all the information was gathered on Friday morning and it was clear what had happened.

Sardar Hajizadeh: I repeat that I informed the authorities within the first hour that I was informed that they had to investigate and evaluate the matter, which was related to the headquarters, who did it very quickly within 48 hours. .

Referring to the overwhelming rejection of the civil aviation overthrow, the IRGC Commander said: "They acted on their own knowledge and I declare that they have no guilt and no fault. Both the aircraft was on the route and there were no errors and no errors. Civil aviation and civil society have all done well, and if there is a mistake on our part and because it is one of the forces under our control, we must be accountable.

He emphasized: Civil aviation loved ones said that if a missile struck the plane, the plane would explode, saying that the plane had not been destroyed, the aircraft was shot down at low altitude by a short-range missile with an adjacent small warhead And the plane has the opportunity not to disintegrate on the air and disintegrate on the ground.

Commander Hajizadeh said that neither the armed forces nor the Revolutionary Guards had a building for secrecy, saying: "We, as the family of these martyrs, find ourselves grieving and mourning. These are the cost of the American devilishness and inflammation in the region that we were all prepared to fight that night, and I myself in the west of the country would give any chance of conflict because there were so many war flights over the region. Unfortunately, such a big catastrophe happened because of the hasty decision of a person.

Answering the question whether the airspace of the country should not be empty for several hours by passenger flights, the commander of the Iraqi Air Force said: I do not want to accuse anyone, in my opinion, whenever there is a war situation, it should have happened by the authorities, but it did not happen anyway. . If there is a mistake in the Armed Forces and there is nothing wrong with the State and the State and the airports, they would have done it if we wanted to, because we were not responsible for it and others should. They did.

In the end, he said: As I commanded missile strikes in the west of the country that night, other loved ones were in charge and should have done so, but there was scope for this person to make this big mistake. do it.

Oddly enough, to it's own people the Iranian military is sounding more conciliatory and accountable than I would have expected.

It's certain, this army corp commander responsible is looking to save his head.

All of the Iranian military needs to stay home in-country and tend to their knitting. [not including building nukes and rockets, which they need to stop.]

I think what happened is that Iran wanted this plane destroyed, for what reason who knows maybe someone on board they wanted offed..they were hoping that when they attacked the Baghdad on Wednesday, that Trump would immediately retaliate, send missiles to Iran, Iran shoots down the plane, and they can say “The US did it” since Trump didnt do anything Iran said to themselves “Oh crap we screwed up”

“I think what happened is that Iran wanted this plane destroyed, for what reason who knows”

I wouldn’t put it past John Kerry, Barack Obama and the deep state in general in collusion with Iran to have made the call. (ValJar standing quiet behind Obama of course)

Bad bet like you said, but forcing unforced errors and miscalculations is Trump’s specialty.

“I think what happened is that Iran wanted this plane destroyed, for what reason who knows maybe someone on board they wanted offed..”

Someone on board? They would just kill them on the ground without shooting down a commercial plane flying out of their airport with 82 Iranians on board.

They didn’t kill any Americans with their bombing.

That’s where their sick plan fell apart, but everything they do is sick so sorry for being redundant.

I don’t think so. They quickly found out why you don’t do this, even in the purely civil sphere - *All* air travel into Iran ended shortly after this became clear, and with it a lot of their foreign income evaporated.

Additionally, Iran wouldn’t shoot down a plane to get one person. They would just shoot him at the airport or have “unknown agitators” kill him in broad daylight.

Pretty sure that the answer is a lot simpler. Some idiot left an air defense system on “automatic” and the airliner was the first thing to fly into engagement range.

So they were all on alert with their fingers on the triggers.

But they didnt close the airport?

They gave a 10 second warning they claim, probably in Farsi and not English (the language of international aviation). Then they shot.

Still far more likely that even that claim is them still trying to save some face, instead of admitting that they’re idiots and someone left it on automatic.

Iran's government is trying to back down and, in their minds, trying to save face. The IRGC is making this impossible because they will not let up. The regime is probably worrying that several nations are plotting revenge, because that is what exactly they would do.

This time around, they got caught trying to start a conflict. They can not play the victim card. To their way of thinking, a massive U.S. and allied retaliation is justified. One so big regime change may happen because most of the regime is dead.

If your really sorry for killing 180 innocent people its not too late. Self immolation works well or something you guys are good at, beheading in public.

Bet you not quite that sorry though.
