No nation wants this much egg on its face. Its a terrible outcome this loss of life. I am very sorry this happened.
Iran has come clean on it. Its still a pariah nation. Hopefully in the next five years or so, there will be a leadership change.
In my minds eye, I can pretty much see the scene of this taking place. It would pretty much look like the comical stereotype scene weve seen depicted.
How tragic when its real life, so much death and destruction.
If Iran would simply stay in its own nation, and quit screwing around with its neighbors, this type of thing wouldnt happen.
It tried to play big dog with us, and this was the result.
Sure wish Irans leadership would do some soul searching and alter their game plan.
Dec 29, 2016 · Kerrys daughter Vanessa is married to an Iranian national and physician. His best man at the ceremony was the son of Mohammad Javad Zarif, Irans Minister of Foreign Affairs. Zarif was also Kerrys chief counterpart in the nuclear deal negotiations.
“So it wasnt Trumps fault???”
don’t ya know? totally trump’s fault: if trump hadn’t killed Tehran’s numero uno evil genius terrorist, then Iran wouldn’t have had to retaliate with dozens of missiles fired into the Iraqi green zone, thereby requiring Iran to go on Defcon 5 alert just in case of re-retaliation, and thereby establishing the conditions for some poorly-trained, incompetent SAM battery operator to push the wrong button ...
To be fair about what?
Why the United States has nuclear weapons?
Did the idea that the rest of the world hates freedom?
We received the gist of that in 1916.
“trigger happy Ahmed says my bad”
Ahmed probably got the chop shortly after he fired, and now they can’t have him confess in front of the cameras that he did it, but didn’t mean to. I’m actually surprised they’ve admitted it. That isn’t the way thing usually go over there.
Arranged marriage? How much dowry did he include with his daughter’s hand?
The USS Vincennes tried to contact the Iranian air line 10 times with no response from them. Did the Iranians try to contact the Ukrainian plane? apples to oranges.
“Interesting.
Yes, very!
What experience do you have that you do not? Don't give some lameass response that does not include experience, such as Navy, or other armed service.
Good for them for admitting they shot it down.
“Claimed it was human error. Nice try, but youre hardly human.”
Dimes to donuts, there was some kid manning the missile launcher who panicked and punched the button. And he probably lost his head shortly afterwards.
I retract my earlier statement. But these twerps have been pissing me off since “Three’s Company” was in first run. Thanks to the peanut farmer from Plains, Ga. we are still dealing with these morons 41 years later.
CC
Oh...this just in...Japan apologized for unintentionally bombing Pearl Harbor, German apologized for unintentionally annexing the Sudetenland, and The Patriots apologized for unintentionally filming opponents.
This Tom Steyer fellow is a nut.
41 years, 1400 years. Not much changes.
We will find
sooner or later
if Achmed’ll pray

“Hopefully in the next five years or so, there will be a leadership change.”
From your keyboard to God’s eyes!
I think the Iranians purposely shot down an airliner which they knew had no Americans aboard. They knew Trump would stomp them into oblivion if another American was killed.
So they took the cowards way out: they mass murdered non-Americans, believing Trump would not retaliateno Americans killed.
And then on the other hand, I may be giving the goat humpers far too much credit.
“SEE WHAT TRUMP MADE US DO!”
You are correct.
A military statement carried by state media said the plane was mistaken for a hostile target after it turned toward a sensitive military center of the Revolutionary Guard. The military was at its highest level of readiness, it said, amid the heightened tensions with the United States.
In such a condition, because of human error and in a unintentional way, the flight was hit, the statement said. It apologized for the disaster and said it would upgrade its systems to prevent future tragedies.
It also said those responsible for the strike on the plane would be prosecuted.
It wasn't human error or unintentional unless you consider the lack of coordination protocol between the airport and the missile battery at the end of the runway.
I’m not surprised they finally admitted it. With all the evidence building up, their bulldozing the crash site and refusing to let others see the black boxes, etc. it was becoming pretty obvious they were lying. And with our media and democrats blaming Trump, which would only make sense if it wasn’t a mechanical failure, it then made sense for the Iranians to admit they “accidentally” did it. Javad Zarif, Iranian Foregn Minister just tweeted “Human error at time of crisis caused by US adventurism led to disaster,” continuing the Blame Trump narrative.
