No nation wants this much egg on its face. Its a terrible outcome this loss of life. I am very sorry this happened.
Iran has come clean on it. Its still a pariah nation. Hopefully in the next five years or so, there will be a leadership change.
In my minds eye, I can pretty much see the scene of this taking place. It would pretty much look like the comical stereotype scene weve seen depicted.
How tragic when its real life, so much death and destruction.
If Iran would simply stay in its own nation, and quit screwing around with its neighbors, this type of thing wouldnt happen.
It tried to play big dog with us, and this was the result.
Sure wish Irans leadership would do some soul searching and alter their game plan.

From your keyboard to God’s eyes!

I don't think the mullahs can help themselves.
This is doubly tragic, because, just think of how much better off Iran and Iranians would be if Iran would take the money, energy, and lives it spends on terror, nukes, and mischief, and spend 90% of that on infrastructure and development (refineries, more dams, and so on). 10% could go to a regional effort to suppress terrorism, give Palestinians* real jobs and homes, etc. (Of course this won't happen because it'd involve actual cooperation with Saudi, Egypt, Jordan, etc., but think of how much better off the region would be - much as Europe has mostly gotten past its thousands of years of barbaric conduct.) This would even benefit us to no small degree, and we could mostly if not entirely "get out", as most of the ME would prefer.
Iran could become, again, like Persia, a "great" country, at least regionally. But, no...
*This one is particularly galling: Not that I want to decrease employment opportunities for Filipinos, etc., working in ME nations, but, why have to import people of a different cultural and (mostly) religious background(s) who are not "oppressed", when you have people (mainly the Palestinians) you claim ARE heavily oppressed in your own back yard that you could give opportunities? Oh, I know, some of that is on the Palis themselves, but, still...
Yeah, I know "Kumbaya", and "Give Peace a chance" and all that, but so much of what Iran does is counterproductive and destructive to itself. And I am not saying Iran should not be able to defend itself from groups like ISIS - heck, Iran did a pretty good job in killing many of them... Unfortunately Iran fought ISIS not because ISIS were terrorists, they killed them because ISIS was a threat to the Mullah's ambitions, terrorism aside. If ISIS had somehow agreed to further those ambitions, Iran would have supported them to the hilt.
