I broke with my Congresscritter, Alex Mooney (R, WV-2) over his vote in favor of the Harris Amendment to the Anti-Lynching bill....wholebunchalotta GOP Alpha Hotels were with him on that POS giving sharia a foot hold.
If Congress was actually doing it’s job, aka declaring war per their constitutional responsibility, there would have never been a War Powers Act. An act, BTW that grants the executive the authority to commit military forces in hostilities for up to 60 days WITHOUT the consent of congress and follow up with them on the details within 48 hours after committing forces.
So, the congress can go pound sand.
Nancy Pelosi should take that resolution and use the giant gavel to stuff it up her ass.

Philosophically, I agree with constraining a POTUS from unilateral war making.
If this resolution was not specifically directed at Trump and Iran I would support it wholeheartedly.
Alas, Democrats and some Republicans only seek to undermine the strength and resolve of the nation while under direct threat. And to undermine the CinC while hostilities are afoot.
