In North Korea, the government tells the people that they are the only free people in the world! That every other country is enslaved, that what the citizens of North Korea experience every day is freedom!
Before they shoot someone in a firing squad for having in their possession a memory stick or a DVD containing TV programs from South Korea or Japan, the boss of the operation tells the crowd that the person who is about to be executed was trying to take away their freedom.
These leaders believe they can actually force people to believe the opposite of reality.
It's obvious that CNN, MSNBC, the New York Times, etc., have bought into this concept. They seem bent on igniting a civil war, a war of two completely different views of reality.
Of course, it's a war that won't last very long.
Boris gets it done
Victory.
My Mom’s birthday...
But you know the truth by negating their phrases. So ‘rubber stamped’ actually translates to ‘stop stamping their feet like children’. Lol.
There have been multiple occasions in this country's history when people of principle refused to settle.
well, the deal was already agreed last November by the previous parliament who then asked for a delay.
The delay was until 31 Jan
So this agreement by THIS parliament was, in effect, a rubberstamping of what the previous parliament said.
Not only -- see above which are all amounts in millions of Euros
It also neatly solves how to manage the Good Friday agreement by keeping the island of Ireland with no internal border
it's a good way of the UK leaving and still keeping its Good Friday obligations in place.
Rubber stamped - probably as it just agrees with what the previous parliament already signed off on.
And yes the British votes spoke clearly - the Tories may have won 44% of the popular vote (not 50%), but that does not matter in the FPTP British system - that was well known. They won a majority on their own fair and square.
