Access to housing and more importantly, access to mental health services is a good thing.
I can’t remember the exact figures but President Gerald Ford had a program to give he unemployed a $10,000 a year job but because it was offered through the government it cost $50,000 for each $10,000 job. (Figures may be off). By the way $10,000 in 1975 is comparable to $48,808 now. Wow.
Read an article awhile back that said about 50% of illegals get fed benefits, with kids 82%. (free education).
They need a portion of the population to be dependent on the government because they will get their votes.

The actual number of homeless people who will end up housed is miniscule. But every single one will have a thousand new poverty pimps “serving” them and getting a paycheck.
