Increasingly alarmed that Bernie Sanders could become their partys presidential nominee, establishment-minded Democrats are warning primary voters that the self-described democratic socialist would struggle to defeat President Donald Trump and hurt the partys chances in premier House, Senate and governors races.
The urgent warnings come as Sanders shows new signs of strength on the ground in the first two states on the presidential primary calendar, Iowa and New Hampshire, backed by a dominant fundraising operation.
The Vermont senator has largely escaped close scrutiny over the last year as his rivals doubted the quirky 78-year-olds ability to win the nomination. But less than a month before Iowas kickoff caucuses, the doubters are being forced to take Sanders seriously. [ ]
The increasingly vocal concerns are coming from a number of political veterans tied to the Obama administration and the 2020 fields moderate wing, including those backing former Vice President Joe Biden, former South Bend, Indiana, Mayor Pete Buttigieg and Colorado Sen. Michael Bennet.

Of course not, but more than most DemoKKKrats.
A PROFOUND statement to say the least.
That looks about right. :^)
“As for States to take over
Tier 1 MN, NH
Tier 2 ME, CO,
Tier 3 VA, NM
Oregon would probably be next. I cant imagine going beyond that.”
You forgot about NV; I would place it in Tier 2. And VA may not be as much of a longshot as we thought it was, if the recent Mason-Dixon poll is to be believed.
The gun issue may hand us VA.
Sanders is not an attractive VP choice for any candidate. No one wants a 102 year old VP.
He has a high floor of support, and a strong chance to win the nomination, history aside. And of course Humphrey, Gore, and Clinton all won the nomination, which is what we are talking about.
I did forgot Nevada, haven’t been feeling optimistic about it.
VA, hopefully!! I wish gun owners had woken up to the threat BEFORE rats took over the state leg.
Trump of course was winning VA and rats were pooping their pants, and then NOVA came in ‘late’ and it wasn’t all that close when said and done.
We have 2 House seats there we need to take back (I don’t anticipate recovering the 10th).
He wants power and to agitate, not to deliver. Those Cabinet posts would require him to follow orders. It’s a shame Vermont never elected him Governor, because 2 years of him as a Chief Executive that would require him to deliver and the people would send him packing.
